Holy crap!

The wind is blowing like mad! Trees falling over, fruit falling off my trees, trash cans falling over (it's trash day tomorrow), recyclables blowing all over the yard, etc.

It's cold, too! Like 50, only! So, cold temp, and hard winds = freezing your nuts off.

I think me and you are the only ones that think that's cold. :)

42 degrees C (108F), gale force winds, and there was lightning last night. Couldn't get much worse fire weather. :nervous:

Even more snow on it's way here. White Christmas to the tune of a near-meter of snow on the ground. I forget what that's like.. We haven't had that in six years or so. Two X-mas' ago it was 60ºF outside.

Cheers

You should see what Christmas is like when it's 100F.

Hmm, very overcast and windy, it's around 37C outside but it doesn't feel anywhere near that, it feels more like 30. :odd:

Yeah, but that's normal for you. To put it into your climate, imagine a fluke like a 13ºC Christmas. Completely out of nowhere. :dopey:

We are supposed to get a hyped up snow storm starting tomorrow night. I have seen predictions for up to 2 feet for Thursday-Saturday.

They have been hyping this thing up for about a week(they were talking about it before it even existed). I'm going to laugh my ass off when we get about 3 inches.

We're slated to get 10-15 inches.

I'll be laughing right along with you when we only get a dusting.

And I'll be kicking myself when we get the 10+ and I haven't got the snowblower running yet...

One of the few perks of living in an apartment is you don't have to deal with that.

One of the few perks of owning your own house is that you get to.

Wait a second... :boggled:

Aren't your kids old enough?

You could use Santa as leverage.(This probably won't work after they open their presents)

They're 5.5 and 4. While I can see the glimmer of that blessed day on the horizon, sadly at present it's just glare.

And I don't bribe. I do, however, take things. S'pose that's a kind of bribe, huh?

Sounds more like blackmail or ransom.

edit: That is at least old enough to help you. Just buy a couple of those little shovels.

Got back from Golf today and we all thought it was getting hot at the end of the round. Turns out it was a nice and warm 43C (110F)

My car also read 43 at some point today. Except that's Fahrenheit. And with a nice light little drizzle. Awesome weather is awesome.

We have said shovels. Hence why I said

;)

The difference in their shoveling skills from last year to this year is immense.

It's surprisingly nice right now; 25F at 10:30pm in late December is fine by me.

It's about 38C right now, didn't reach 42 like they said, and the cool change is supposed to come in tonight, bringing a cold and rainy Christmas eve, 22C. :odd:

Here we have had a good few inches of snow overnight. The last day of school has been cancelled :D Now for some snowy fun fun fun!
Aldo! Since i'm in Falkirk, i'm taking it we'll have similar snow conditions!
The train station is lethal in the snow! while I was waiting on the platform before work, a train sped by and covered everyone at the station in snow! :)

Haha! Did you get some hefty snow last night as well then? Its perfect for the snowball war we have organised after we heard school was off!

We got dumped on last night... a good 3-4 inches of snow! It's a winter wonderland... and I have to drive 1.5 hours to my parent's house tonight for Christmas... wee!

It was only 8-10" a few days ago, 10-15" yesterday and now 16-20". They can stop anytime!

Some areas may receive more or less snow depending on where heavy bands develop

The ultimate in weather CYA's.

It's Christmas eve, and it's 21C and raining. Has to be one of the coldest Christmas eve's in a long time. Even though it feels like winter, it was strangely pleasant going outside in a singlet and shorts. :)

♫ I'm dreaming of a white Christm--- ♫ Wait! That's not right!

It's currently 36 degrees and raining. Pretty much all of our snow has melted. I don't ever remember it raining on Xmas before. Oh well, better then snow. Apparently if the storm would have tracked differently we would have been in for 12"-14" of the awful white stuff. Thank the gods for this Yule gift I suppose. 12"-14" would have all but killed me.

That would be what I am getting. I had 8" of snow on the driveway yesterday afternoon, snowblowed another 6" this morning so my wife could go to work and it's still snowing. 4-8" today, 1-2" tonight and 1" tomorrow, not counting drifting, obviously, and with a 27 (gusting to 51) mph wind, there will be plenty of drifting.

Well, it's a rain-sleet mix currently.. Overnights going to be a nightmare when all this standing water freezes. Even then, the first White Christmas in... Years.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Yesterday (Christmas day) was only supposed to be 25C, but it felt warmer than that. Today is around 25 at the moment. :)

New Year's eve's gonna be 37C and a pool party. :)

Somebody was talking to me complaining about this earlier today. They wouldn't believe that rain was the best weather ever. Apparently it should be 70 degrees and sunny on Christmas?

Anyway, it was absolutely gorgeous today. Between 37 and 42 for the most part and crystal clear so we could see all the mountains in their snowy glory. The roads were pretty slick from hella frost this morning though. And somebody somehow managed to slide down my aunt's hella steep road. :odd:

Seattle winters are stunning though. If it's not glorious dark and rainy, then it's clear with some amazing views.
