Yesterday it was 110 (LA was 113 a record high). Today, it was 97. But, the humidity was way up! 100%, actually. With the humidex rating, it was 149.5! :yuck::nervous:  :ouch:

Beat that.
I had to use my car heater this morning and its temperature gauge read 41 when I first got in. It jumped up to 52 once the sun got above the horizon.

Nicole is tearing up JA. School was canceled for today, and it may be for tomorrow as well. I have a pool now, in the driveway.

Currently 55F, supposed to be around 65F tomorrow. Saturday night we might get down into the 30's.

Perhaps I should hurry up and find a jacket.

Let us know how you fair. I'm assuming you may lose electricity and whatnot, but as soon as you can let us know how you're doing. Those kinds of storms aren't to be taken lightly.

Getting the yearly floods now :). The area where my school is always floods around summer but this year it has hit early and almost all over queensland is raining...

In this picture on the left is a tunnel. I usually walk through there to get to my school, but yeah, no. Picture was taken by someone else from my school as I live nowhere near it.

Hey, Legend, do you canoe?

Anyway, here in Washington, we just got over a "storm" that managed to leave a few puddles in our basement. Turns out making sure the drain is clean requires slightly more effort than the BP method of sticking my foot on the drain and walking away, saying it's clear. Yeah. Managed to get it blamed on my brother, so that's a plus. Anyway, the weather is now much like it always is, 60 degrees and cloudy.

It's been in the 80's and sunny for the last few days and next week the lows are supposed to be in the 20's and the highs in the 40's.

Welcome to NoDak!

Edit: In looking at the rest of the month, lows in the 20's and highs in the 40's is going to be standard fare... Which means it'll likely be colder than that thanks to global warming and all.

Three days ago, it was 65 out side. Now, it's 95. Just a short heat wave, they say. Hope so. It's OCTOBER for crying out loud. Enought hot weather.

It's been between 15-20 deg C in Glasgow for the last week or so... good for October. And yet, some people (on Facebook) are complaining already that it is "Cold!"... I hate to break this to them, but if they think 15 deg C is cold, they have a shock coming.

^ Every time I see you post in this thread (and subsequently look up Glasgow's average temps because I can't remember) I'm surprised that your average low in the winter is only 35°F - not even freezing. For some reason, despite looking it up repeatedly, I have it in my head that Glasgow is colder than that. :dunce:

Glasgow does benefit from being on the west coast of Scotland, so it is warm and wet compared to the East coast... we also benefit from the Gulf stream which makes the UK/Scotland warmer than areas at the same latitude on the other side of the Atlantic...

Last winter was really bad, though, and it can get very cold here some times... and apparently this year is going to be a bad one again, hence the people complaining about it being cold already really are going to get something of a surprise in the next few months...

among the best week of weather i experience was last month in Bora Bora, French Polynesia. 21C at night, 28C during the day. sunny and breezy. simply amazing!

The weather here is predicting the second coming of Jesus by the sound of it. We have a storm rolling through at 60mph with tornados and all that fun stuff. I can believe it's almost November and we are getting wild weather like this. The guy on the news said we've never had a recorded storm like this before. It's going to be like the circus...intense!

We already had a tornado warning and spent a half hour on the first floor of the building.

Not sure about the tornados, but the wind is blowing to beat hell here, too.
AccuWeather
STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS FROM 35 TO 45 MPH...WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EVENING. STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY.
The rain and 42° temp isn't helping, either. Apparently it's supposed to turn to snow tonight.

Might be time to dig out the winter coats - and make sure they still fit the kids. My son's shoes went from being a size too big right before school to being too small yesterday when I just happened to look at them - lasted a whole two 🤬 months! No telling what all summer did...

Just when I come here to say it's cold, windy and rainy I see TB has beat me to the punch.

I'm afraid I may not have a mailbox come tomorrow, it's currently bent to the point where I can see my house number on the side.

That storm was a let down. We all had to go in our break room because of a Tornado warning. We missed the good stuff, if there even was, but I knew it was going to be a lot of talk and not much action.

I was in the middle of the hospital, I couldn't see anything if I wanted too. We had a lot of weather alerts though. I had the TV on in my office to see what was going on and they made it sound like it was the end of the world.

Made for a cool looking sky when I came out of work though:

The cover blew off of my gas grill. I'm guessing that was at approximately the same time the grill tipped over and dented my siding and the deck.

Edit: It's now officially snowing...

It's currently 13°F, feels like -4° and I might be shoveling snow on Sunday for the first time this winter.

Kids are excited, I'm not...

Been a little cold in QLD today, a little wet as well. Normally I wouldn't be too happy about these conditions, but with exams approaching it's perfect weather.

Yesterday it was 80 outside. But today, it barely reached 60. 20 degrees different in one day brings a shock to the system. No fun. Now, they say it might rain which should give us snow in the local mountains.

Still no snow here. And it doesn't look like it'll be snowing for a while. It's coming pretty late here. I want my snow already...

It could be cold enough for it to snow here by the end of this week, but it was about 6°C max today. Hopefully the rain should stop tomorrow.

It's supposed to snow on Thursday here.

I don't want it to come...

Currently -18°C here. Was a bit colder last few days, but supposed to warm up to just below 0°C in a few days. They're probably lying again.

It's currently 35 degrees F here and it snowed a little today, although none actually stuck on the ground.

God, my room is freezing.

And I did.

Balmy 10°F now with a high of 18 for Monday. As long as it's not windy... which it likely will be.
