Today was beautiful weather for where I live in Scotland. The sun was out all day and we had a gentle breeze of warm air throughout the afternoon.
As it got later in the day the sun was really low in the sky which created a blinding, bright orange spread of light, which has now set. Now it's starting to get cold again.
Cooler today. Mid-high 60's. Cooler tomorrow with highs in the low 60's. And on Tuesday, it will be FREEZING and raining. High in the high 40's with the low temps in the mid 30's! That means more snow for the mountains which means more traffic near my home! Bah!
Freezing cold! And raining! It's 49 degrees, cloudy, gray with drizzle off and on. We're expecting a lot of snow at much lower altitudes tonight. The rain should be coming in real soon.
Much warmer today. And, the Sun is out! It's about 58, bright skies right now, but was very cloudy earlier. Still some storm clouds over the mountains, but that's normal after a rain storm. I can tell the weather is going to be clear tomorrow. But, another storm system is coming in a few days.
Thankfully it cleared out enough for me to ride home, but there was hail everywhere and the temperature dropped like 20 degrees. We were expecting snow in the 7,000+ ft elevation ranges, not 1,200 ft and in town...
I'd like the damn snow to finally stop. Whenever it starts to melt it snows a little more. Not a lot but just enough to stay on the ground for a good week and a half. Plus it's windy which makes it feel a lot colder than it really is.
Not raining, but it looks like it. Dark gray skies and no sunshine at all. Cold, too. It's 50 degrees right now and doesn't look like it's going to get warmer. Low in the low 30's tonight! This the coldest winter I've ever had here in SoCal.
Well, as I typed this, a small patch of blue sky and sunshine is finally out! Don't think it's going to last very long. Too many dark clouds around.
Got to bed with no sign of snow at all, woke up with quite a heavy snowfall (well, heavy for us, living in the middle of the Po Plain, under sea level). Forecasts aren't that good either: it should stop in the afternoon, but resume Tomorrow. Luckily my polling station is 200m from my house, or I'd have had to go with a sled, as in 2009 the streets were cleaned so "quickly" that a good portion of the snow froze on the ground.
Perfect BBQ weather! Bright blue sunny skies, light breeze and not a cloud in sight! Around 62 at 10:00AM but will increase another 8-10 degrees in the next two hours.
But, all the meat I have is frozen solid! Bah! I wonder if you can BBQ salad... Hmmm... 💡
At least you don't get storms like we get here in New York. This was from 2006 but still. Everything was declared a major disaster area by the President at the time, George W. Bush. This storm left over 400,000 without power, myself didn't have it for over a week or so. Some of these pictures were a couple days after but we got over 2 feet of heavy wet snow feel that day so don't complain about a little snow XD
