97*F at the moment, slightly humid although all the rain the last few days hasn't been on this side of town. 70% chance of rain tonight, under flash flood warning. Knowing my luck it'll all be on the other side of town again.

105° and very humid today. At 3:30PM it was 100° when I finally went outside. Not ten minutes later, sitting in the shade smoking a stogie, I was sweating like mad. Couldn't finish the stogie. Had to go back inside.

85, feels like 88, still damn humid. At least the mid-90's are on their way out. Can't take that crap.

For all those in the UK the signs for this winter are for it to be a severe one.

In short we will most definately have a Westerly/positive QBO (Quasi-biennial_oscillation), this in itself would normally mean we get a rather mild winter, however there are very strong signs for there to also be greenland blocking over the Atlantic, both of these together give a perfect situation for a very cold and snowy winter. This is what happened in 1947 winter and caused one of the most severe winters in recent times.

The positive QBO is almost a definite however the greenland blocking is less certain and will really be the key to how cold the winter will be.

Here is a video released 2 days ago by a forecaster that tends to make good predictions (not some random scaremongering journalist.)

Very hot and very humid. But, not has horrible as yesterday. It's only getting worse, though. What's worse is we get no relief at night. It was 82° at 12:30AM! And humid! Disgusting! :(

Finally, the weather has turned. It's only in the low 90's and not as humid as before, but still humid. I can actually go outside for a few minutes without breaking out in a sweat all over.

However, temps rising back up to the 100's by Thursday. Looks like it will continue to be humid or even get more humid. Bleh.

Storm rolling in, just turned off the A/C and opened the window so I can listen to the thunder. :)

Edit: yay, rain.

We had one come in about 45 minutes ago. Rained like a monsoon for 5 minutes then stopped.

The weather was supposed to turn bad today. I've been out in a t-shirt all day and the sun is shining from a clear blue sky :D

Started very cold this morning, now the temperature is in the mid-70's if I am correct.

Looking forward to this winter in Britain. Here is the long range pressure anomaly chart for Feb 2014.

In short this would bring almost record snowfall to most of the UK. However to keep realistic the situation changes on each run of the model and this is the coldest I have yet to see, however blocking like this is a constant feature none the less.

I can't wait for the winter time, the cold air is perfect to me.

I'd quite like it for there to be snow this year too. As strange as it sounds, for living up in the Highlands, we get very little snow. It all tends to fall up in the hills and not in the city. Last winter we got absolutely no snow, apart from one day where it all fell at once. Here's that one beautiful day.

104° and still humid. But, not as bad as before, but still bad. High 90's tomorrow and then reducing to low 90's by Tuesday or Wednesday. Looking forward to the break in the weather. But, it's still going to be humid. :(

I found a wooly bear caterpillar that says your little scientific forecast is wrong. Then my daughter pet him and we let him go free in the butterfly bush to go and bring us the mild winter.

We have had some passing showers this morning, too. If the fire pit is anything to go by, it's been around 1/2" of rain. On the plus side, it brought a cold front with it so instead of the upper 80's, were supposed to be in the mid 70's today.

Yeah been raining non-stop since before 8:00 this morning. (Almost 3 hours now) Pretty weird for this area, storms like this are rare.

It's raining here, currently :dopey:... Temperatures've been good all day, even though the sun were shining.

Raining again, had to ride to work in it on my bicycle. Can't wait to get my car running...

It rained a ridiculous amount at school (in North Phoenix) at lunch time. What was weird is that I was out there maybe 20 minutes before and it was just sprinkling a bit, then we came out for lunch and it was raining like hell. There was so much rain that you couldn't even make out the mountains in the distance, it was just grey. As usual, it went away as suddenly as it came, and quickly went back to the default hot and sunny weather like it is every day.

It was about 70 here today, very nice. And of course tomorrow while I have marching band it will be the hottest day of the week at 90. Ahh Michigan.
