Pretty sure my face is going to melt off.

Also, I'm supposed to help someone move Friday afternoon and Saturday.

At least you'll have rain to help cool you off on Saturday.

Had a monster monsoon storm roll though last night. I was in a movie when it hit, you could hear the rain and wind from inside the theater it was so loud. Afterwords when I was leaving, literally 1/4 to 2/3 of the trees in the parking lot of the shopping center were either broken or laying on the ground. I'll assume it was a microburst. Then the storm rolled on up to the Phoenix area and wreaked havoc on an airport. The lightning show after it cleared out was pretty awesome.

The green band you see running ahead of the storm (starting bottom left) is the dust storm.

Fortunately, that storm just dropped those planes on a wide open airport. Imagine what one of those landing on a car would do. :dopey:

The weather here has been more pleasant this week. Instead of near 100 degrees with heat indices reaching 110-115ish, it has been around 90 degrees and downright pleasant in comparison.

Today reached a peak of 24°C, which is more than I can handle in my stuffy house.

Sleeping in hot temperatures has to be one of the least pleasant experiences in my book.

Right now going for 80F/27C
Going to be 90F/32C with feels like 96F/36C
Icky picky.

108° today. Tomorrow, the same or hotter. Bleh. At least it's not humid. That would really suck. But, humidity is climbing. Oh joy.

Good news, we're getting a lot of rainfall this next Fall and Winter seasons. Should help our drought situation if it all doesn't go into the ocean.

Weather people are saying there's basically a 40% chance of rain for the next 10 days, so maybe things will cool off a little. To like, 95 or so. These 103 days haven't been fun.
But knowing Houston it'll probably stay dry and just get hotter.

110° and higher humidity. Sucks balls today. Plus, the air was filled with forest fire. Today really sucked balls.

I glanced at the NWS radar last night before going to bed and saw the beginning stages of this storm. It started out as a little cell and then expanded out in a giant ring. Was crazy to see on radar. Wish it was closer to where I live, apparently it gave off over 4,000 lightning strikes in a 15 minute time frame. Bet that was quite a sight.

Wow, that's going to just miss us.

Been raining most of the day, keeping the temperature at ~60° F.

That was a crazy thunderstorm when it hit the West Coast, we rarely get those. :scared:

Seattle is doing high 80's now, can't complain. The winds are welcome but the airplanes probably suffer. :indiff:

We're finally trailing out of the excessive heat advisory and settling into the 105*F range again. A high pressure area over us right now will be moving out in the next day or two which will allow monsoon moisture to come back into the area from Mexico. Hopefully it brings some good storms with it, monsoon season this year has been really disappointing.
