Winter Storm Warning in effect. It was somewhat foggy when I went to work, now we having some pretty good snow fall.

First winter storm of 2016 is here! Nome is basically shut down, schools, businesses and taxi cabs. Flights are canceled, even the hospital has delayed opening (the ER is always open btw).

Heavy snow winds East at 37mph with gusts to 50mph.

When I went outside today at about 11am, it was 75 degrees. I went into work at 2pm and it was 80 degrees.
I left at 10:30 and it was 48 degrees with 20mph winds average, going up to the 30s. Slamming from the west to the east.

I opened my truck door and it absolutely flew all the way open. Thank god there wasn't a car next to me and it didn't break off the hinges
