About 1,500 people have been evacuated from Whaley Bridge after part of a nearby dam started to collapse. Pretty crazy stuff! The RAF are using a Chinook to try and shore up the dam and water is being pumped out of the reservoir to prevent it breaking completely.

How it looked on Wednesday:

Bit of rain this morning. It didn't last long unfortunately, thanks to the wind. Was planning on taking the car out on the weekend but I might leave it now. Nice of Winter to finally show up.

Cold and very windy. The forecast claimed that it was going to reach 13°c today. I doubt that it even hit 10°c.  Supposed to be 11°c with showers tomorrow.

A beautiful sunny day with some clouds in the sky. 26°C in the shade around 7 pm is not that bad. There is a lot of wind though.

Mid twenties, not a cloud in the sky. Can't ask for much better. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be more of the same. Glad I didn't bother taking the car out in the freezing cold last weekend.

Slashed it down with rain yesterday and was bloody freezing.

Today it's glorious sunshine with not a cloud in the sky!

Gotta love British weather!
