Living in Michigan, then Utah, and now back in Michigan, I'm no stranger to crazy weather, but I can honestly say this storm is unlike anything I've ever seen. At my house, we're going through snow, rain, sleet, and graupel all at the same time. Like any good Midwesterner, I'm sitting and staring out my window at the weather, drinking beer, and it's crazy how quickly the weather is shifting. Thankfully (for us at least) the ice line is dropping southeast which means we should avoid the worst of it. This morning, it was modeling that we were going to get upwards of 2 inches of ice.

My parents live like 30 minutes north of us and they currently have 20" of snow and due to get 12-14" more by morning. Further north, where my wife works, they have nearly 30" with anything 12-14" on the way. Parts of the UP have 4 feet of snow with more projected. I don't know what Michigan did to Mother Nature, but I'm guessing we collectively kicked her dog or something for her to be this angry. Down south in the area of Michigan where people actually live, they're under thunderstorm watches with a chance of tornadoes.

Meanwhile, my coworkers inform me that it's going to be 75 and sunny on Tuesday out in Salt Lake and near 85 by the weekend.

This was this morning trying to leave my neighborhood:
