We’ve had nonstop May Gray for the past… well, since the beginning of May, really. It’s rather annoying, because it’s only here along the coast – if you just drive out two miles to the east, it’s nice and sunny.

Not today, dude. We had horrible weather today. It was supposed to be 82 or something. It was just over 70, gray all day and drizzled in the morning enough to piss you off that you got the car washed a waxed the two days before.

It's so cold right now, I needed a blanket.

Ooh lovely and Sunny on the South coast of Blighty today, supposedly 22 degrees today and I'm just off down the shops.

phooey.. solid 31C/88F outside, and 28C/82F inside and rising.. that's central Finland, pretty close to polar circle!

I will survive, thanks for Coka Cola!  :dopey:

June Gloom. But, it's warmer right now than it has been in the past two weeks. It's supposed to be HOT this weekend. They've been saying that for three weeks now. But, since it's warmer right now, I finally believe it's going to happen.

I somehow survived two weeks over 80. This week we had a nice break: rainy three days, cloudy the rest. Never above 70. This is supposed to continue:tup:.

Everybody is wondering: "I'm out of school in a week. Why does it feel like winter?" I'm happy.

Back in my day, Spring Break, was called Easter Break, and it would be HOT! We went to the beach the entire week and enjoyed the very hot weather.

By the time school ended, it was very warm weather. When school started up again, it would be fall-like weather. Cooler, with leaves changing color.

Now, Summer starts MUCH later. It seems to start early July and ends early October.

Weird.

It's that crazy global warming stuff yo! (or would you prefer "CLIMATE CHANGE") I wish I knew how to type in a nerdy accent....

This trend is pretty wierd. I don't know if I like it. I enjoy a longer spring, but I hate summer ending later.:indiff:

Its nice here in Michigan right now, only problem i really have with it is the humidity when im working at the shop, i start sweating bullets in like less than 5 mins...:scared:

Anyone else affected by the floods in NSW this week? We only just got power back in my house, but no water damage. Dad wasn't so lucky... he was trapped in his house for 3 days with my uncle and both their cars need repairs now. No water in the house though, which is more than other people in the same street can say. Share you stories if you have them :) I'd like to hear.

Last night was the coldest night in history down here, reaching a low of 1C at about 4am this morning. :scared:

Don't bloody mention the weather to me!!!
We had hailstone yesterday! Hailstone in the middle of JUNE!! And they were the size of small solitare diamonds. All plants were destroyed! My house faces the river, so you would expect the front to flood right? Wrong! The water stacked up at the back of the house and after rising four inches in just over 30mins, it started to come in the back door. My neighbour and i have been furiously brushing water down our passage causing a mini stream down the front of the house! Its a losing battle...
My dogs who live outside have been wearing scuba gear!
The sun is shinning at the moment, but we keep having flash storms and everytime we do, i have to get out there and start all over again!!!

Hailstones are not seasonally dependent. All they require is some moisture and strong updrafts.

Count yourself lucky with the hail, we had some golf ball sized a while back and some places reported baseball sized.

Sorry to hear about the flooding but that is the nature of pop up storms. We go weeks with no rains and then the heat and humidity build and then suddenly storms that rain multiple inches in about 30 minutes with damaging winds, tornadoes, hails, and flash flooding.

Be glad there aren't tornadoes. The same updrafts that can create hail can also give you tornadoes. Better to have to clean up a house than not have one at all.

I would suggest trying to find some sort of weather sealant to put around the door. My mom had something when I was a kid that made the door near impossible to shut unless you had another door or window open. Many times people implement sand bags as a form of damming system to block teh flow away from their property. If your only issue is coming in around teh door perhaps you could create a one bag high layer in a wedge shap to direct it away from the door.

We've had a huge amount of rain in the lasty month, probably about 100ml, it's still getting as low as 1C overnight. :scared: I wish it e=would warm up, but i'm grateful, i'm going on a school camp to Canberra in a couple of weeks, and i heard there was a huge amount of snow there. :nervous:

It was finally a lot cooler. It has been in the mid 90's here, and today it reached 85. Perfect. At 5:00PM while emptying the smoker of our Texas beef brisket, it was a very comfortable 80, so we ate outside.

Beautiful day. :)

But now, I've got to be cooped up inside watching 4 hours of F1, and about 9 hours of Le Mans I have on the HD-HDD recorder.

More clouds and rain. The temperature is staying down nicely. Just warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt, but I always have a sweatshirt nearby. It's very comfortable.

God it's in the mid 90's here with about 1 million % humidity...I hate Michigan summers.

You're going to hate Michigan then. It has been hotter than snot here the past few days, and if it is anything like it was last year, it will stay quite warm well into October and December, and then we will all freeze to death until the end of April.

Right now, its a rather-sticky 78*F, even at 1AM. We're good for about 88-90*F for the next few days, with partly cloudy skies. Excellent beach weather if you ask me... I just need to make the drive out there.

...Either way, I'm leaving for Miami in a week, and that should keep my nice weather hopes up for some time...

Even our nights are hot, it's 80 here right now and it's 1 am. The only time we get cooler weather in the summer is when it rains...and it doesn't do that often, only when you a.) plan a golf game or b.) wash your car.

Of course, it did rain here the last time I washed/waxed my car. Since then, it has only sprinkled a bit. It sounds like our weather is pretty similar, except you guys obviously get a much worse winter with your beloved Great Lakes. :)

Too bad I won't have the GTI. I was it once, sometimes twice a week.

I've been out there twice in August and or some reason I can't really remember being too bothered by the heat. I am really dreading the summers. Anything besides a Western Washington or Alaska summer sounds miserable to me. Winter should be fun.

Well you'll be on the west side of state which has a lot of water activities and beaches. You'll get a bunch of snow, I think last winter they got like 20 inches in a matter of 2 days. The lake effect just dumps on you.

The east side doesn't get a lot of snow, we mostly get windy and cold weather during the winter.

I've really been looking forward to that snow ever since I first saw it. I think I'll be pretty busy trying to find things to do to avoid the humidity and heat in the summer, my two least favorite weathers. Oh, and cold is no problem for me.

Here in Seattle, it's about the same. I washed my car I think on Saturday. That night we went driving around, caught some rain up North and not it's as dirty as it was before. I might wash it tomorrow. Cloudy outside. Looks nice.

Summer has just hit here. Yesterday I had to sit in 82º heat for an hour and a half for graduation:yuck:. I also went biking earlier that day. First good sweat in a while. It wasn't as bad today. Still, it was sunny enough to turn the black inside, black outside GTI into an oven after about 10 minutes of sun. Our house was also super hot.

OK, today was HOT. I don't know why the local weather service is saying it was only 84 today. It was AT LEAST 94. Thank Petey it's going to cool down tomorrow. Or so the weather service claims, and we all know how reliable they are.
