The snow's almost all melted, which is nice - it was getting somewhat tiresome. Now it's just the rain and the floods to watch out for. Dry at the moment though, hovering around 4 degrees C. It was nice to feel the warm sun this afternoon :)

Its a balmy 51F right now, due to hit 60F later this afternoon. This will be a record-setting day for Grand Rapids, its never been this warm in February before. I'll be enjoying this warm streak, it looks like we'll be dipping back into the 30s by the end of the week.

Yup, we're up into the 60s now. I came back this afternoon to no snow in Holland. It's good to be in shorts and a t-shirt with the window open and the fan going.

It's also really clear out. I could see downtown GR from M6 like it was maybe a mile or two away.

Yesterday I drove home from work with the windows down and my Driving playlist playing on my iPod. It was great.

It's gon' rain tomorrow.

After a very wet yesterday the ground is slightly improved. It was about 4 inches deep in the big ditch out the front.

ITS SNOWIN SIDEWAYS!

...again. Which means my road is now a death trap again. Woo!

Meh, that's nothing. I've seen it snowing up here.

There's just something about this weather that makes you feel so happy, even as much as I love the snow.

Oh and funny thing is that it's snowing back at home while it's so warm here.

It was crazy warm, but I'll be damned if it wasn't windy. I actually went for a three mile walk this afternoon, it was great. Supposed to be warm again tomorrow, with rain, which will be okay... Except for the fact that I get home from work late tomorrow. Poop.

Then it snows. Then its back to depression.

Well, today we are expecting the same storm system that hit Oklahoma to come through. Predictions are 50-60mph winds with gusts up to 70mph. I still have crap hanging in my trees from teh ice storm.

This should be fun.

Well, most of the snow here has now melted due to yesterday's sunshine (about 4°c) and now it's just gone back to constant rain. Good old England.

It's gon' rain today. All day, and chance of thunderstorms tonight! woot!

We need the rain super duper badly though, parts of Marin are already limiting water use. (This is why we NEED desalination here in the Bay Area.)

Another storm is coming in after this one, so I hope that means a few more days of rain.

Oklahoma? How about Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas as well... all at the same time no less.

The section of the storm that flew accross Texas was quite unusual because it was close to a perfect straight line stretching 300 miles from south of San Antonio all the way to Dallas:

Buckle up and stay safe FK! 👍

Woohoo! I've got that weather to look forward to at about the same time as Foolkiller. It'll probably be here within 2 hours.

Um, Oklahoma had tornados so that was in the news this morning. I didn't hear a lot about others.

Straight lines are actually the best way to get them. When they start to bow is when you know you have something truly nasty coming. It means something is pushing harder than the rest and within that you may find funnel clouds.

Buckle up and stay safe FK! 👍
If I miss Lost I will be sooo mad.

My god that looks insane! We never get anything that dramatic here. Everyone starts getting scared when even the smallest bit of lightning strikes.
A northern island vs relatively flat areas of land between two mountain ranges.

Besides, this storm front is bigger than your whole country, and not uncommon for us.

And you can see the tail along the southern coast. That is the remnant of what hit D-N. The part where it is fat and trying to swirl is me up to the northern coast, That is where tornados are most likely to happen.

Fortunately, it seems we missed the worst of it and just have to worry about wind now.

Louisville is where I am right now and Frankfort is where my house is. Home is still in a thunderstorm warning but not in the tornado warning areas that some areas south of Lexington are.

Looking at that...I hope Jordan isn't in that area.

Actually, all we've gotten so far was light rain. There's one really thin line of red stuff about a half-hour west of here, but it'll probably dissipate.

That storm was a pain in the butt to drive through last night! I noticed several shopping centers had their cart holders destroyed and mangled in the lots. Had to dodge a garbage bin & a shopping cart that blew into the street.

Got home, heard something tear and smack my fence. Went outside and was so glad to see a piece of shingle barely missed my cars.

Everything now...is back to normal. Texas weather....

Looks like the northern part of the storm split up and went around both sides of us here in Holland, for the most part. But there's a big swirly bit down south of Chicago that might be headed our way tonight.

Well, it came through and I have suffered no effects from it. Some people lost power, but the 35,000 in Louisville is nothing compared to the 200,000+ from the ice storm.

So... it was raining today and I had to bike home in it... at least my propel water was nice and dry inside the bottle.. oh wait...

10°F, feels like 2°. High tomorrow is around 14 - about average for this time of year.
