We had a "dusting" at best, better than the three or so inches we had between Friday and Saturday night. That was one helluva surprise going out to my car at 9:30 in the morning, cursing with every step, knowing that it would cause me to be late to work.

It's still cold up there, eh? Well, I've still got my Falkens on and will for the next few days!

A perfect zero this morning.

Also, perfectly clear sky with sun dogs:

Not exactly the easiest things to take a picture of, especially while driving.

Don't drive and shoot, kids.

-6° F this morning. This is getting old.

It should be back up to above freezing this weekend, though.

So, yesterday it was easily in the 50s and then today while I am sitting here healing up I look outside and see snow.

I didn't even wear a jacket yesterday.

It's been snowing all day here. There are probably two or three inches on the ground by now I'd say.

It was also incredibly windy for a while. We had a gust come through that literally stopped me in my tracks.

It was in the high 20s today. I've decided that if there isn't any salt on the roads I'm leaving my summer tires on. Screw it. Here in a couple days it'll be back up in the 40s again.

Currently 19.4 degrees outside, and under a Winter Storm Warning.

Times like these make me glad I have The Tank (what I've nicknamed my Blazer).

Holland and K-Zoo were getting hit long, long before we were here in Grand Rapids. I don't think it really started showing until I got home from school around five, and it really didn't start sticking until well after dinner time.

We're due for two-ish inches tonight, which should make travel in the morning interesting. Hopefully the retards that run the road commission have things sorted out by 9AM.

(HA!)

Cool, an in-car thermometer. Never seen one of those before. :) Also nice looking tacho.

Mid 20's (C) today, quite pleasent. :)

Really? A good number of cars in the US have a thermo either on the dash or rear view mirror.

The speedo/tach combo takes a little getting used to in the Civic (this is an Si but it's laid out the same as my EX), but eventually you learn to like it. 👍

It's currently 4F. High today around 20.

^ Mid '80's K5, from the looks of it? I'd call it The Tank, too!

'90 K5. Close enough.

As for the storm we were supposed to get, it never came. Woke up to a light dusting of snow and a lot of wind.

Winter Storm Watch for tomorrow, so that's probably when we'll get all the snow we were supposed to.

(And I just got back from a few days in Florida...) :scared:

It's going to start snowing today in the evening. We are expecting 6-8 inches of snow by Saturday afternoon. It's pretty weird considering we had that 60 degree day just a week or so ago.

It's still snowing but it's that dry stuff that just gets blown away so it still hasn't covered the grass.

I'm heading down to Chicago on Sunday. Hopefully it'll be clear-ish by then.

Damn stupid weather!
Woke up this morning for work and it was foggy as hell and freezing (by PT standards) outside, so I grabbed warm clothes and took off.
By noon, fog was all gone, sun came out blazing guns and the temperature rose to a degree that it looked almost a mild summer day. Hot day at work for me from then on...

You are right. It was 3 degree C in the morning, and foggy has hell, especially in my zone, I couldn’t see one meter up ahead.
I think in the afternoon it went up to 17/19 degree C, though.

Damn right, neighbour!
And it gets worse when even with the temperature rising, my female co-workers (aka b*tches) refused to turn off the AC, which was cranked to 28ºC on 'HIGH', pouring hot air on my back all day long.

Thank god for cigarette breaks... :sly:

Got upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for tomorrow. Looking, it looks like there's a decent bit of snow actually moving our way. Great... gonna be dead at work tomorrow.

Well.... 1 to 2 inches of white stuff for Indy... but to my dear family in Angola its going to get harry for them up to 6 inches.... and for our Michigan friends (Ty in Sturgis, Yssman in Grand Rapids, Philly in Holland, and of course Joey up there in lovely Lake Orion) even more of the white stuff... I don't think winter isn't far from over y'all... ---- Randy

Only in about 75% of cars made in the last 10 years. ;)

I don't have a car made in the last 10 years, except the Rodeo. I do admit i first saw one last week in a Hyundai Sonata dad borrowed from a friend.

When I went to work this afternoon they were saying that you guys in Holland were getting as much as three inches an hour. We pretty much dodged the bullet until about 6-7PM when it really came down. The problem, more or less, has been the drifting. There wasn't much show on my car, but there was about six or so inches up the side of it when I left work at 9:15PM.

I'm definitely not looking forward to driving to work tomorrow.

To be honest, I have no clue how much we got due to all the drifting. There's probably between 3 and 5 inches on the ground in some places, but I can still see grass in others. I felt like a complete tool, but walking across the snowy field shortcut because their was less snow there than the path was just more appealing.

And yes, the only way you can identify some paths here is the patch between the plow piles. And the snow on the path up to my dorm is deeper than the snow on the ground on both sides of it. And it's all bone dry powdery stuff so it's useless for snowballs.

We got absolutely drenched here in Holland today. A thunderstorm passed right through campus and walking in it was similar to a cold shower. Probably some of the hardest rain I've ever seen.

Walking skating to class tomorrow when all this freezes should be even more fun.
