Here is a picture to show outside. I went to the window because some kid was doing doughnuts or something in the funeral home parking lot across the street and I'm fairly certain he put his car down the embankment on the right. I heard a lot of commotion, then a loud crash. Serves the idiot right for doing that sort of stuff on private property.

That is awesome... in a morbid kinda way.

My ex-wife's cousin lived next to a funeral home a few years back and during his drunk/high vandalism sprees, he once broke into the funeral home. Imagine my face a few weeks later when I drop by and he's changed his coffee table for a child's coffin.

As the guy who lives between Phil and Joe...

We're getting dumped on. My best estimate from when I was walking in the door from getting some last-minute groceries was that there was maybe 0.80-1.0 inches out there. All of the wet roads from the rain/snow earlier today have otherwise froze, which is not fun, and most of the roads are now covered with snow. I didn't go over 35 MPH on the way home today, which is mostly five lane highway. Unfortunately, the Celica did slide off into a curb, but I was doing less than five miles and hour... So, no big whup.

Tomorrow should be interesting. I work all day at the mall, which is fine, but whether or not the mall will be open is the problem is. If it is, it totally sucks, because I have to risk it in the (likely) terrible weather. If it isn't, I'm out $70.

*shrug*

The weather here is really, really weird. It's been sunny for a few days straight now, but we've gotten some of the coldest weather I've ever seen.

Well our snow stopped and now we're getting some kind of heavy/rainy stuff. And I guess this is supposed to happen until morning when it's going to start snowing again. And that should happen through Friday. Awesome! It'd be pretty cool to be here for our first real lake effect snow of the year.

I heard you guys got shoved in the freezer for a few days. That's really weird. I knew the sunny days were always colder at home, but not quite the 20 degrees for five days kind of cold. It kinda makes me wonder what kind of Christmas break I'm in for this time...

Up to 39C next week, not sure what's after that, but another heatwave could be on it's way. :)

Last I check it's about 23 degrees out on my back deck.. Woo.. Tomorrow is going to be in the high 30's and clear out.. Then we hopefully will get the rain that we seem to never get in the winter any more.

Got a suprise 6" dumping last night, which transitioned to freezing rain, which then transitioned into full out rain. Later today it's supposed to do the reverse, get into the low 20's, with high wind. I forsee roadside disaster everywhere. :nervous:

Currently it is 50F with 30-35mph wind gusts. By th time I leave work at 5 it should be 29F with 50-60mph wind gusts. There has already been 1800 homes without power over night (fixed all but 175 already) and a piece of the facade on my office building is lying next to the courtyard. Smokers have been asked to resist the urge today for their own safety.

:scared:

It is dangerously cold in widespread areas of Colorado this morning, with below zero temperatures recorded overnight throughout the state.

At 6 a.m. today Denver's temperature was -16 degrees and the wind chill factor dropped the temperature to -27 degrees.

The big chill in Denver and other parts of Colorado started on Sunday with below freezing temperatures and the trend will continue through today.

Denver's high temperature today is only expected to reach 19 degrees and the high in the city tomorrow should reach 29 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Yesterday's high temperature in Denver was in the single digits, topping out at 7 degrees.

The deep freeze in Denver at this time of year - not even winter yet according to the calendar - is unusual but not unheard of.

The record low for this date in Denver is -20 set in 1919, according to the weather service. The normal high temperature today in Denver is 45 degrees with the normal low temperature being 17 degrees.

People throughout Colorado are struggling with the bone-chilling cold.

In northern Colorado temperatures of -5 to -15 are common this morning where "gentle breezes" pack a dangerous punch because of the cold, the weather service warns.

The weather service has issued a "wind chill advisory" for the Denver metro area this morning, even though winds are topping out at about 8 mph.

In the mountains winds will be even more problematic today, creating perilous conditions especially over mountain passes.

Wind chills of -50 degrees were recorded on Berthoud and Loveland passes early this morning, the weather service said.

Today's high in Denver may hit 19, but with the wind chill it could feel more like -14 at times.

There is, however, a warm light at the end of the tunnel.

Friday in Denver should be mostly sunny and the high should finally top the freezing mark hitting a relatively balmy 35 degrees.

Here are pictures of the damage the wind has done to my office building so far.

Looks like fun, FK. :scared:

And Brian, I'm in the same boat as you are:

The "high" will get up to 1° and the 18mph wind stays all day. Tomorrow's not much better.

It's so damn cold! Almost 10AM, and it's only 42! WTF! It's NEVER been that cold!

At least I have bright blue skies, and bright sun.

Out of nowhere we have a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, making this the second latest-in-the-year thunderstorm I've ever taken note of (The Latest being Dec. 16). :odd: Our household barrometer is completely burried at 28.35" and the dogs are getting really nervous. I think this may be some fun.. :nervous:

73 Degrees right now, sun has not shown up yet, supposed to be a high of 85 today though :D!

That's warmer than here. :odd:

T-shirt weather :p

How could you wear a T-shirt when it's FIVE DEGREES Celcius!? If it EVER got that cold where i live, i would freeze! I take my jumper off at about 25C. (75F)

Anyway, it's only supposed to be 20C and raining today, freezing start to December so far. :indiff:

It's cold, it's windy and 95% of the snow we got is gone. We are having 60mph+ gusts and the temperature is falling rather quickly. It's 31 right now and will be 18 when I get up tomorrow. Oh and since Oakland County is poor they've only put sand on the roads so essentially it's one solid sheet of black ice.

That's warmer than here. :odd:

Yeah, it's a bit weird to use the A/C in December. I think it's a record, or off by one degree, was nice and breezy today, not the 35mph gusts we were supposed to have. I can't complain though, I love hot weather, I can't function well in the cold.
