The Renault Alpines are a popular choice too, just practice man, they have no power anyway, so you can't get into that much trouble. :D

The 427s just take ALOT of practice to be competitive with, but it's easy once you know what you're doing.

Be happy it dosen't drive like Enthusia's Cobra... :scared:

BTW: I own three in the game and drive them regularly, don't ask why.

LOL that's ok, I own two in real-life and drive them regularly :D

The first and second gen SHOs were "digitized" for GT4, but for whatever reason they didn't make the game. Ashame that the third (and IMO worst) generation of the car is the only representation of an otherwise surprisingly-agile and quick sedan.

Worst car for me? That would be the one that, after two years of owning this game, I never had the inclination to even look at, never mind buy, and I get nausious every time I scroll past it: Eclipse GT

Personally the special cars are a waste of space such as the Nike car, at least give us a special event for these cars along with some decent prize money otherwise don't bother.

Most if not all the fashion-wagon SUVs should be ditched as well, I didn't miss them in previous GT versions and I don't use them now except for completion sake. I do also feel like bad-rating the FGTs (mainly for the races) but to be honest the mediocre AI in GT4 is mainly to blame for the reasons why I don't like them. On the other hand though if I wanted to drive an F1 car I'd much rather play one of the Grand Prix games which do it a lot better.

The Caterham Seven sucked, mainly cause you can't drive with other racers, the tank car as well, and the Auto Union Streamliner. But the worst car has to be...the the Volvo 240 GL Estate,I mean who puts a 2000 kilo station wagon in a racing game!:yuck: :dopey:

Please tell me your kidding?:grumpy:

In real life, it's a light, agile, and very fun car to drive. In Gran Turismo 4, it barely drives any different from any other car, is sluggish and unresponsive, and cannot be driven with a complete field of opponents.

-> The worst car in GT4? I know people will bash me for this, the [T]HPA Golf R32. The only VW that you can't enter the manufacturer race. :grumpy:

Haha, knowing PD they'd probably make the Nike manufacturer race a single event at the Beginner Course, with the prize car being (drumroll please) YET ANOTHER NIKE! Then you'd have THREE of them in your garage!

Right now, one race car gets my worst racer award.

CLK-GTR. Uncontrollable at Nurb and has a pretty crappy brakes for a race car.

Put a few mods on that car and it is very fun. Under extreme braking, the bottom scrapes, leaving a huge shower of sparks. The lean is hilarious in replays. I've beat the likes of Astons, Corvettes and a few others with it before. You just have to know what to do with it.

Having not driven the tank, I think the Cizeta is the worst. It is a very hard car to drive, it even makes the speed12 a walk in the park.

I really enjoy that car. It is easy to lock up the tires when driving a little too hard but with some practice and a little tuning I've found the car to be quite pleasant.

For me, the Toyota Motor Triathalon and Nike One are the worst. Neither of them serves any purpose or is even remotely fun to drive.

The Fireblade is held back in the game by rediculous gearing. I have no idea if it's accurate or not, but I really hope that isn't the case. I took the thing around the 'Ring and hardly was swapping cogs, which I always thought was a neccessity in those things. It's not like it has a lot of torque, so the whole experience feels a lot slower. It's not bad by any means, but disappointing.

I didn't know the older Taurus SHO's were digitized for the game, that would've been... amusing.

As for the Shelby Cobra; are you guys serious? I will admit it's not fast, but I've always found it easy to drive, even on N1's. It lets go so progressively that I can do an entire lap of El Capitan basically sideways on a DS2 and not even risk spinning.

Worst car? The Eclipse is still a bad-looking model, the Beetle RSI is still listed as turbo-charged. I found the Alpine 310 to be near-undriveable in stock form, so it may just get my vote.

The TVR Griffith 500 does one thing that should NEVER be associated with TVR: understeer, and boy, it has it in spades. :(

I think you mean the Speed 12.. the griffith 500 drives heavenly.

This one has actually been covered before and contemporary road tests on the Griffith quite clearly describe the car having an initial on-limit understeer, which can be transitioned to oversteer. Yes the last part is a little too difficult to do in GT4, but understeer is and can be associated with TVR's.

I found that all the cars that you can't race sucked.
Nothing at all wrong with the Fireblade (other than the fact that you can't race it).

I know Scaff, I over-acted a bit. But GT4's physics make the understeer feel much more present that it would be in the real thing. I looked at some reports too, and apparently, like all TVRs, it's quite easy to get the rear end to come out on hard acceleration, especially when cornering hard. But in GT4 all you get is evil, evil understeer. (I do admit, N tyres go a long way towards helping the rear end come out, but it should do it on S tyres too. I don't want to start a physics battle, since you covered EVERYTHING on it, I'm just making a point. :) )

No problem at all 👍

If you do want that evil on demand oversteer feel just slap a set of N3's up front and N2's on the back. Does the job quite well. LOL

You forgot the bit about how it feels like it weighs 3x as much as it really does, and isn't really any more nimble or fun to drive than any other car in the game.

I hate the Astin Martin V8 Vanquish simply because its so unstable for me under hard braking, pisses me off the most. Beautiful car, hard to tune.

The motor carages, and the Auto Union are the only other haters i have right now, and every single FWD car in the game...

I just KNOW I'll get bashed for this because this is Ridiculous, but
Who said the Pagani blows?? It's an AWESOME car if you know how to drive it!

and I have 3 worst cars.

Toyota 2000GT. (Have you seen it's turning? In M11, I braked at 1 mph literally, and turned less than 0.0000001?)

Daimler Motor Carriage. (Pulled by a HORSE for Pete's sake, and took about 15 minutes to run the Test Course!)

Subaru 360. (15 HP, tops out at 50 mph. Beat it with a '49 BEETLE for heaven's sakes!)

The cadi was based purely off technical info from the proto-type. Hardly what it can be in real life though. But I do agree with its horrid shift times. And it understeers rather bad for a MR car.

And thanks lthiele!

yeah, who said it blows?:odd:

yes, that's true, but it's quite a good drifter.

*gets ready for beating*

yes, that car is bad.

•GT 4Ever•;2512219
Beamer M5. (IA-13. Took 32 tries. 31 times, I braked at 130 and spun out. Nice car otherwise.)

i don't agree, that car is very good, it spins out moderately.

•GT 4Ever•;2512219
Subaru 360. (15 HP, tops out at 50 mph. Beat it with a '49 BEETLE for heaven's sakes!)

yeah, but the Beetle can beat a few other cars aswell, i remember taking it around the ring, took over 20 minutes, it's very annoying only going at 80km/hr

•GT 4Ever•;2512219
Caddy CIEN. (I'm sorry, but as someone said earlier, it's trans. is crap. It's like this:
vrooooooooooooooom........*pauses and loses 5mph*...............vroooooooooooooooooom.......*pauses and loses 5mph*..............vrooooooooooom........*pauses and loses 5mph*.........vrooooooooooooooooom............. and it's turning and braking is also not up to par in its class.)

i've noticed this aswell, takes ages to shift, like the Puegot (((spelling))) 905, very annoying, especially while cornering

no problem, happy to.:) i like that one aswell, i remember taking a Midget around Grand Canyon once.

Texanidiot you are so right. But the thing is, you have to make it higher then stock, yes, higher. it will make it steer perfectly, and if you tuned it to the max, oil change and well weight reductions and all, it's a pretty fine car to drive, has a great sound too, and one of the coolest looking cars in the game too!, also i like your 360 shot!
GT4ever, why the hell do you dislike that motor carriage? It's one of the things that started it all..!! it's crap to drive, i tried to drift that thing :P couldn't get that working tough :) You are right about the coffee brakes in between the cien's gears, but you're wrong about it's handling, it has awesome handling and it was my main game car for a while.

Lthiele, i hated the auto union once i found out about the fact it could only be driven in the Nür and test course :banghead: 🤬

And people hating the Pao will be followed till death :trouble:
