The Worst Car in GT4

I can beat a stock aston with a normal trueno(tuned), but i will make 2 setups...

"Tuned" is the key word. You say you can beat the AI driving an Aston or yourself driving an Aston? The first one is plausible, the AI can't drive for its life. I used a stock Elise + wing to defeat a whole field of 400hp+ cars. And no trouble doing so.

And Aston= Ford

So? Why it's a Ford a bad thing?

And lotus is mid engine, built for sports, The trueno S.S. is origionally a drift car...

Riiiiiight. Just because you see the Trueno drifting in events and anime does't mean it was built to do that.

Let's keep this simple. If you can build a Trueno/Levin that can beat an Aston Martin DB9 doing (minimum) a 2'04.000 in Costa Di Amalfi running only in S3 tires, you will get my respect. But still, the DB9 is nowhere near to be the worst car in GT4.

i hate Costa Di Amalfi, but i will give it a try, as soon as im back from vacation:sly:...

Take a Lotus Elise 111R, a real car for example. It obliterates the Trueno. While being about 10hp slower and around 40kg heavier.

Please correct me if wrong, but aren't you comparing a sports car to a ... 20yo bogan car?

He is saying the Aston weights 1710kg. And thus it sucks. Weight doesn't matter, as you can see in the Elise, which has a lower power to weight ratio. Since it's newer, it kills the Trueno.

Basically, the point is that 850kg (if the Trueno weights 860kg) don't matter if you have over 20 years of technology over the opponent. In this case, of course. If he can post a good argument of why the DB9 is the worst car in the game, instead of "the weight" and "it is taken over by Ford" then he may have a point.

I doubt he will find other reasons, though. And, dennisw, there are five people in the "What is the Most Overrated Car of All Time?" that agree with me in that the Trueno is overrated. Particularly, the following three posts had me rofling.

Me.
You.
Reality.

I'm obviously not the only person that thinks the AE86 is overrated.

You're thinking of a pink Nissan Micra Convertible

If there was a Transformer GT-R, that car would be on its "Cars to Destroy" list. Unfortunately Michael "I F:censored:ing Love Explosions" Bay thinks the Camaro is better. I like American muscle a bit, but they're so primitive in terms of handling and the fact they rely on a 1,000-litre V8 to go fast, but then they're limited to 120-130mph by the s:censored:ty 4 speed transmission.

I doubt the Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 has only a 1,000-litre V8 to go fast around the Nürburgring, clocking 7:26.4, while the GT-R is slightly slower at 7:26.70 :indiff:

But we all have our likes, hey. I'm more oriented to american muscle. I love the looks of them.

i like the GT-R better, those "muscle" cars with their 1/4mile performance(old ones)

:)

Great cars, that's right. 👍 I would drive one of those any day of GT4 instead of a japanese car. 👍 So much fun can be drawn from one of those american cars. :D :O

The Citroën C5. Rubbish.

It is a mess, I'll agree. Get halfway thru a turn with the stock differential, and there's so much inner-tire spin because the C5 leans so much, the car sometimes nearly STOPS DEAD. Even if power is rather low.

The mid 90's Honda Preludes, when tuned with exact racing car parts, become impossible to handle. And from 1st to 5th you have to put up with lots of random vibration.

Personally, I really like the Corolla/Trueno series, including the SS though. And not just for drifting - have you seen the possible A-Spec points you get from the Tuning Car GP for it too?

The DB9 makes me forget it's weight, it's so good handling.

The only car I don't like is the 3000GT, mainly because I can't get it nimble.

i always spin out in a damiler motor carrage at 1mph :dunce:

back to the question lol the worst car in gt4 is.............. the car that always beats me in the le sarthe II 24h race lol :dopey:

The worst car for me would have to be the Citroen 2CV it has a crappy powerband and non-rolling starts will get you no where

I haven't tried the Gillet yet though it seems to be disliked pretty widely. As for the 2CV, it's worse when it's tuned than when it's stock, with the glitch that means you can't get it moving.

It isn't too bad though when raced against others of similar speed. I'm pretty sure if we ever had an ultra low-powered car race at one of the GTP get-togethers it'd be good fun.

Definitely the CIEN, but any Daihatsu is screwed up, i saw on Top Gear once that the Copen Active Top has a very noisy roof when you open and close it. DOME ZERO- UGLY;
Avantime, outside of GT4, interesting, but performance-wise, very bad; Tigra, Opel or Vauxhall, slow; any slow convertible - sukky; Nissan Stagea - The front looks cool, but the car looks too long and bulky.

Any objections to my rant?

P.S One exception of the Daihatsu's is the ol' Midget, it's really fun when you try and drive it up the hill in Citta Di Aria... NO Modifications. Me and a friend do it when he comes to my house, i bump into him, and that gives you just enough momentum to get up the hill... It's just so FUN ;)

Disagree about Daihatsus, I think they're brilliant. And not sure where you got the comment about the roof being noisy from as it certainly wasn't Top Gear. All I remember from that car being featured was showing how guys don't really look right in them.

Took 16 cars in the 100+hp range around Fuji 90's together, and the Toyota ist I went for came rock bottom. So I consider that a bad car too. The Voltz is 3 seconds faster around the Speedway and it has a surprisingly similar weight comparison, and it gets a lot more power too, making it an overall better car.

That was said, but when the roof was going down, James May commented on how noisy it was.

i started today ;), can i have a vid of a stock aston doing a 2'04.000???

1st lap with some guess tuning:
2'11.835 hittted a wall 1 time, no nos.

Are you doubting the car is capable of doing that time? If so, then there's something wrong with yoru skills. :dunce:

Since I can't post a video, you can ask anyone who is able to post videos to do a lap for you. Austin343 may do it if I ask him to. It's completely possible to do a lap like that one with the Aston Martin.

AE86 or Aston? I want to assume AE86. You are far from the goal, if you are using the AE86. ;)

Subaru 360 :yuck:

It actually doesnt have enough power to change into second gear from first on a FLAT road in automatic (I now use manual btw :sly:)

The performance is LAUGHABLE

You don't even have to ask me. :) He actually kind of has a point. I took a stock DB9 with S3 tires to Amalfi in Arcade Mode, and while I eked out a 2'03.972, it was dirty - I may have clipped the inside wall on the final uphill hairpin and I hit a cone, but those are moot points because I definitely hit the inside of the second-to-last hairpin. After quite a while longer (I did the combo for over an hour), I got a clean and fairly fast lap, but it was only a 2'04.1xx (174?). It is most definitely possible for me to get a mid- or low 2'03.xxx, but it's harder than you implied, Lucas, because it's so hard to take turns consistently and so easy to lose lots of time when slightly off line. The choice between a narrow line and second gear vs. a "diamonding" (in-out-in) line and first gear is often ambiguous because the car bogs down below 45 mph in second, and the car in general really scrubs off speed when you don't want it to do so. Then again, I'm crap at Costa di Amalfi, so maybe my results don't count for much.

More on topic, I can't imagine how you could possibly consider the DB9 to be the worst car in the game. There are cars that have much more oversteer or understeer, ones that feel much more "numb," and ones that are much more boring to drive. The DB9 is pretty nice to drive, and far from the worst in any area.

I haven't driven the aston on amalfy yet, and yes it is with the ae86, i allready hit a 1'07, it is a long track, i only did 5 laps orso, a 1 min flat isn't impossible ;)
