I mean if the time is like 1:10.500 for gold and you get 1:10.583 you will get gold credit, not sure what the exact split is but close times will credit you for gold, silver, bronze.

Are you sure?
This has never happened for any License Test or Special event that I have done before.
Is it a glitch or is it built into the game?

It's ALWAYS raining in B-Spec?
Even when you quit and come back to the race?

I have read other people say it and my first bronze on nurburg was a hair over the official bronze time and got credit.

If it rains, keep quitting and re-entering, otherwise endurance race can take over an hour longer.

To get gold in suzuka, you need to do at least a 1:05.5xx first lap in order to have a good enough pace to do a below 1:04.4xx second lap.

My gold run, 2:09.795, had a 1:05.584 first lap and a 1:04.211 second lap.

My first lap on Suzuka im pretty consistant. Getting high 1.07/low 1.08 pretty much all the time, but on the second lap panic sets in as im really mindful of the fact that the esses are coming and i tend to brake too much or take the wrong line..This is with a DS3.

Did save all my replays from the vettle challenges, i could dig it up and make 100% sure but i am 90% positive i was a shade over the required time and got credit to my surprise when the game you know takes a bit to show the trophy and then the time.

That's exactly my problem!
I know that less than 3 minutes of concentration is needed but I get really scared when I get to my second lap, I take a much more cautious approach.
And that's not good for my lap times

Sorry, but I don't believe that happened. It's much more likely that you got the numbers on the screen mixed up in some way.

I just watched it on nurburg i got a 2:14.916 for my bronze "win" and the bronze time is 2:14.500 so it does give you a little grace if you get within spitting distance.

It's odd that they've done that -- they haven't for any other event. I wonder how much slower you can be. Half a second, perhaps?

I have windwo RAR.
I opened fine, but all I could find inside were images and unopenable files.

Well put that ps3 folder on the usb drive pop it in your ps3 and copy the replay data to your saves and i am assuming the game can read the replay data form your save data on your hd, since it gives you an option to export it to your saves. It is just the gt5 raw replay file not an actual video file.

Easy? No. Possible. Yes. It's 2:00 of absolute balls to the wall perfection. Took me two days for bronze, 2 for silver, 2 for gold.

I did bronze monza with a DS3 but was exhausting. After borrowing a wheel to get the remaining bronze. I decided to "invest" in a DFGT. $130 brand new. I use it everyday now.

Also I checked YouTube videos of gold medal runs. Mostly replays, but it gives you reassurance it's possible, and shows the fastest lines to use. I beat the ghost at monza by seconds, the only replay I saved

I did the same thing. Picked up a DFGT wheel after hours of frustration with the X1 challenge. I was finally able to bronze Monza, but I'm still working on the others. I like the DFGT. I paid $130 as well (local gamestop). This X1 challenge is brutal.
