It would be cool if they did a running le Mans start at enduros using Playstation Move! As in running across the track.

Grindelwald!

I loved that track on GT2. I'd race up through the gears on the uphill and just let it roll in 'neutral' down the hill.

Hotdog stands so u can just pull over an order your custom hotdog an chat with the other drivers. OOHH! Also, a MacDonalds! The Real Drive Thru Simulator.

1. My biggest gripe is that they got rid of qualifying for races unless it is a championship.

I mean, seriously, are there any races in the world where you show up and they just tell you to start at the back of the field every time?

2 .Also, what about races within a championship that aren't on consecutive days. Meaning that you do race one of a championship but then the next race wouldn't happen for a week later giving you freedom to race in other races or fine tune your car?

3. Also, how about a radio in your car that your "pit manager" uses to tell you stuff like time gaps or that you should go and pit? Haha!

Definitely agree with the first comment! When I picked up GT4 and saw there wasn't qualifying for normal races, i was thinking: WTF??? :grumpy:
Number 2 would be cool too.

How about a pentalty system that doesn't just effect the player, but the AI as well. Makes those stupid rally challenges hard...especially at Grand Canyon.

Besides the bunny rabbits ^^^

I really don't want any 2 or 3 car races. By this I mean, you and one, or maaaaaaaaaybe two AI cars battling for the lead, while the rest of the pack is so far back you can't see them in the mirror. I am all for variety in the lineup, but I would rather be racing 15 other Tamoras battling with me. I am playing GT4 in my waits for GT5 to finally get here, and this almost makes it pointless to have fields of more than 2 or 3. You would think that 'classed' events like JGTC and such would even it out, but since they group all the JGTC cars into one class, you still get a pretty weak idea of 'the pack.' Hopefully with 16 cars racing at a time, this wouldn't be as much of a problem, but if they don't change the way the lineups are chosen, I feel like it will still be a problem. I have not played GT5P, so maybe that problem was fixed in that game. It kind of turns endurance races into a long solo lapping session punctuated by a few passes, etc.

EDIT:
I thought of something else. I know its the GT way, but do we really need to win a car after winning each tournament/race? I know with 1000+ cars, they have got to be looking for ways to put them in our garages, but I think its frustratingly unrealistic. Lets say I have millions of dollars and I walk into my local exotic car dealership.

"Oh you want to buy that jaguar? Well, too bad, you have to win a factory sponsored dealership before you can drive one of those."

Or

You go to your local race track, pay the modest entrance fee, and do pretty well for yourself, coming out on top in your 3 lap race around the noob ring. Congrats, here are the keys to a brand new pristine condition 1950s skyline. Come back next week and win another!

I would prefer fewer prize cars, and more cars being available to purchase.

In two player split screen mode I would like to see the ability to select slicks in cars that are not in my garage. I would also like ghost mode in two player split screen. Brake fade would be nice also and when the brakes are worn I would have to change the brakes just like engine wear in GT4. It would be nice if the cars would missfire or if they were only firing in some cylinders. Theres more but I cant think of it right now.

PS: If what I would like in GT5 isnt there then its not the end of the world.

I also would like to see more tire changing options. With GT4 you could only change front and/or rear tires. That's a little limited since most racing teams change left or right tires. But, since we're getting NASCAR, I would assume that we'll be able to select which tires to change: Left, Right, front, rear or all four.

We need a Beach scene for Photomode. Maybe something in California or Hawaii. We could also use a Truck friendly scene. Maybe prop up the front tires on some rocks or something to show off their 4X4 capabilities.

This would be cool. Interestingly, it seemed Photomode in GT4 didn't model suspension, since you could place a car on the curb in Beacon Hill, and whether or not the suspension was at its softest or hardest setting, the car sat the same. I'd like to see more representation of suspension articulation in those settings.

The beach thing I'm all for. I also wouldn't mind a rather simple studio setting. Just a giant white room; in a game itd be simple to give us colour options too. Throw some spotlights and other similar options and I'd be happy... and my Nikon would see even less use in the real world .

That's actually a great idea, a big white room ( possibly adding your own background pictures ).
The best ideas are often the most simple ones.👍

Yeah. I tried putting the Dodge Ram with it's front tires on the steps of one of the Photomode locations today, but, nothing happens. The wheels just floated about the steps. So, I would definitely be nice to see suspension better modelled in GT5. And from what it sounds like, this just might be true. Especially if you can cruise around the photomode area before you take your shot.

A green room would be good so we could put ourselves in the shot and a choice of backgrounds. 👍

Since a few other things have been taking from Forza and put in GT5 (like the PP system and possibly a livery editor) how about the ability to custom paint race cars. It was introduced in FM2 with a single car, but FM3 lets you paint any of the race cars. Which, I think, is pretty cool. Let's people take a race car and pretty much make their own.

Thanks analog! It's amazing they haven't given us something like that, really; the garage view very nearly provides it, and there's really very little work that would need to be done. Considering we've been given some high-res images of cars in a very similar setting though... maybe? :D

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; give me a proper livery editor and the ability to use imported images and I will probably never get to the actual playing of the game. Recreating liveries is digital crack, and creating your own gives you that extra sense of ownership that only a unique ride can give 👍

I too like the idea of a "green room" or "White Room" that would allow us to create our own settings. I don't know how it'd work with the floor and walls and cieling 'cause a green room would just be a flat surface, but it'd still be cool. :P I'm sure there would be a way to make the area a bit more 3D. I would be kinda cool to create our own photomode location, though.

Realistic aerodynamic effects such as aero push/loose and side drafting. I've yet to see the later correctly implemented into any game (even iRacing).
