Just a daft question where yous all in a party chat last night. As noticed you leaving the track fast on failed race starts.

The Scooby was a monster off the start line moving power ratio to the rear and double clutching 💡

Glad you enjoyed it Stig, you were very fast yet again. Yes there was a number of us in the chat, it helps a :dopey: old 🤬 like me, I have trouble with the text and controller.

Guys don't need anything expensive I have a number of sets, one of the best I find is Betron headphones in-ear noise cancelling. Great sound they also have a mic for phone use, but the main thing is you can here the chat, oh did I mention the laughs too. You can always still use the text for replies, you dont have to use the mic.

@larry. My video work is not a patch on Guido's but it was good fun that you miss due to your knee.

Has anyone got Race one Replay saved, I forgot that one.

I use Yamaha 7.1dolby for sound but I do have some very good and cheap adx headphones/mic but very rarely use them more of a night time thing and chill drive.

Thanks was fun my first time on that track I've only done a night race on South outer loop before. Was a good chance to learn the track properly. :)

Please if you intend on joining any of the weeks, by all means add me to your friends list does make it more simple to find the room psn dranddad
Unfortunately, the lobbies with friends don't always (actually, almost never it seems) show up in the list for me, even if the main menu lobby button indicates there are lobbies with friends. That's why I asked last night.

Then right when you posted the lobby ID (thanks!), my game disconnected from the network, apparently due to some PSN maintenance, and connecting again didn't work for some time. :banghead: I was this >< close to giving up and calling it a night; when I was finally able to join the lobby, the first sprint race was already in progress. To add insult to injury, I hit the bug where auto-drive keeps crashing into the wall when it tries to leave the pit, so I couldn't practice before the second sprint race.

Despite all the technical trouble, the second sprint and feature races were great fun again, thanks everyone!

Thanks for the info Mr Cooper my post was just a gentle reminder to all, as one of our EU members it's you gents I try my best to get the event finished at reasonable hour for.

I'm not all that good running the room, I get confused very easy, so I hope you can forgive me for that mess up. Anyway onward and upward to Joe's event next week.

Sorry to kept everyone held up while I tried getting into the lobby but had a great time once we figured it out.

I got a lot of newbie issues out of the way and things should go more smoothly moving forward.
In particular properly calculating the amount of fuel needed to finish the race will come in very handy

:lol: it was nice to have you race with us Eric .

I only highlight the point of time and being ready to go at 10pm gmt is the benefit of our eu members as it's 11pm for them.

It's only fair we try to finish in the same day for these gents.

It's a fun night, we can all do serious racing 6 days a week if we want, here it's come enjoy the night with member, have a laugh, winning a race is just a bonus:tup:

Watch out for Pigpen13 event next week . Joe has been kind enough to help putting on an event, it will be his first. Please if you can all make it come along and support his effort 👍

"fuel needed to finish the race will come in very handy "
It was a awkward one to work out with the pit so far away from the start/finish line

Any ideas on the next car and track.

Not saying a suggestion but I was thinking b4 on the nürburgring green hell before as a track day event but was trying to think of a good n200 car for it e30-m3 Or like a clio rs

Working up to it slow Stig.

Best thing is, if you have an idea is put it together. Test it out, if you feel it has the fun factor drop a note in here that you would like to test it out in a lobby. I would do my best sure others would too, come along to your room and test it out with you.

It's not my fun night, it's our fun night.

I sure will I'll drop a message here if I have a lobby up for testing :)

January 31st 10pm gmt
The American Road Car?

Ford Mustang 65’ GT350

Track: Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa
No tuning
Racing soft tires
15 laps/ grid start
Fuel 3x/tire wear 5x
10:00am fine weather

Notes: This is a straight forward race. I kept it short due to time. I was very impressed with the Shelby. You can drive it very deep into the corner, however the inside tire will lift and spin due to the LSD. It takes a lot of effort to spin out, so it should be an easy driving, fun race. We may or may not turn on boost. I’m bound to fall back from the pack at some point. Enjoy

I only highlight the point of time and being ready to go at 10pm gmt is the benefit of our eu members as it's 11pm for them.
If I'm able to attend I will be there as soon as the room info is posted.

Sounds good Joe looking forward to trying the Shelby.

Date and time is missing mate.

I love the car (did I mention my oldest son is named Shelby?) and its going to be a fun combo.

I hope you don't mind me sharing my opinion but for me personally I thought the car felt numb and sort of awkward on the racing soft tires compared to sports soft tires.

After doing a few laps using both (on and off line) I thought the car felt better and more predictable on the sport soft tires.

Edited the time. Eric, as far as tires go, I’m open to suggestions. We do a vote before the race and see what everyone wants or work it in were we have to run both at some point.

Thanks Joe. (Time & Date)

On tyres it does help if you leave it open as you've noticed in past events, use any you wish in racing or if it's a sport tyre race. Gives members the option if they find Medium or Hard more suitable to their style of driving.

It's all about the fun, I know Bo (Cobani) likes to get a little slid going on from time to time and just enjoys himself.

Just a suggestion Joe, your event you run it as you please.

I'm just glad you have taken the time to put an event together, good on ya. 👍👍

Edit: I was just looking at the US map, Joe in Missouri, Larry in Cincinnati, me close to Birmingham looks like the Bermuda triangle.

I honestly think you're doing great! The only thing to keep in mind is that somebody always needs to post the room ID on the forum, otherwise some might not be able to join the lobby.

All the time on gts I've never had a person struggle to find a lobby before unless not been friends in psn. But saying that since last update there's been a lot of weird things happening. I like the idea of lobby i-D number it could save a lot of issues.

Question to yous all what's ppl using for controls ?

I'll be looking forward to the Shelby mustang race. It should be good fun :)

Funny you say that i started off on a coffee table and dining chair but after long driving it would kill my back. I built my own custom rig and i'm now using fanatec csl with v3 and bmw steering wheel with 7 speed shifter.

First wheel was logitech g29 then I got the bug for sim racing haha and splashed out lol
