That's just being lazy (not that i can talk), but you've gotta do the wheels.
Heh, seems like I'm getting lessons from the expert... I used your tut to do my first ever vector! :D

I've actually asked him why he won't do the wheels, and he gave me weird answers. :odd: "I don't like it, looks too real", something something. :odd:

Sorry Jon. :p
What I said was, "I don't want to", and that's all YOU need to know, Shanty me lad...

Anyway, here's me newest vector, Acura RSX. Looks absolutely FAN-tastic, and I don't even want to TRY and colour it, because I'm afraid I'll stuff it up. If anyone wants a try at colouring it, go for it.

You obviously spent a lot of time lining it all up, cosi it shows, it looks good 👍 But do the colouring mano, don't chicken out now! ;)

Heres the latest one im working on,

Bomex: Skyline R34

Started working on this today, Only go to finishing the frnt bumper, but still may need more work. I think the coloring on the front bumper looks a bit off, any one got any tips or anything.

mine isn't exactly smooth like urs, i like it to be edgy.. here's the Saleen S7.. my hand was hurting like hell after all the lines (touchpad mouse)

I need help i keep trying and trying to do vectoring but nothing works damn ....

Hey, just found this thread.

I have tried 2 or 3 photoshops in this style. This was my latest one. Its my car at autocross, then through the magic of Photoshop it was turned into a drift beast, haha, I am such a ricer...

orig:
fb5c8832.jpg

photoshoped:
faf38ec1.jpg

This biggest problem I have with these is my inability to draw or trace circles, therefore I have to cut and paste wheels in and filter them.

Oh, and those pictures are hosted on Imagestation, so just add .orig.jpg to the end to see full size pics

any comments on mine? i like to know what ppl think of my work:D so i can improve where neccessary.. ty :D

good vector susan . ( i like call u ) ... compare to me cant do ...:(

Use Flash to draw outlines (and gradients if desired). It does Circles very nicely. You can even use the line tool to do circles. You just round the line in a very simple manner. It works great for the wheel wells... and pretty much any round line on the car.

Rounded things arent hard at all. Just create an elipse over the desired area, then node edit, and then modify it to your desired wishes. Boom, beyond smooth rounded anges and circles.

here's my first vector done in photoshop-its a civic with altezza head n' tailights. Any helpful critisism would be appreciated :banghead:

Thanks Don. 👍

I've had a look at colouring it, but there are SO many alternating shadows, and colours that fade into darker colours, and... etc... that I KNOW I'd stuff it up if I tried. Anyway, it still looks amazing, yeah? Even with no colour. ;)

BTW - can you see the pic on GTP, or do you have to hit the link? It shows a red X on my browser. :grumpy:

sorry about that- i'm at school and i had to leave for a program in the gym. Here is my first vector

Jagged lines have nothing to do with the computer. They only indicate that there is aliasing around the curves, which is impossible to eliminate completely when you are working with pixels.

oh-anyone got anything to say about the pic?
i need other people's opinions to get better

Ack! Sorry - was too busy worrying about pixels.

I say that's pretty good work! I really like how the windows came out.

oops missed something! ;)

edit: oh and doo u have a deviantart account? cos if thats up there im gonna immediatelt +fav it :D

Altezzadrifter: All the jaggedness and blurryness actually helps the car in this case.....first time Ive ever seen someones piece look like a screen cap from AM.
