I realise this will probably upset a good few americans, but Harley engines are seriously backward in technology (apart from the V-rod, but that's hardly cutting edge). They might look good, but if you're going to have a harley-based thing go for a buell, but even then it won't be anywhere when compared to anything slightly spoty and japanese/italian/uk/etc.
I really hope they don't put too many (if any) harleys in the game - they are the ultimate in all-show, no-go. Poor power, poor brakes, poor handling, poor ground clearance. They're great for posing on, but unless it goes all need-for-speed I doubt you'll get posing points.
Because they look cool, and are interesting from an industrial design standpoint. Diversity is good. GT wouldn't be GT without all its "slower" cars. I'm assuming all the really fast bikes will be in the game by default. I'd like TT to be like a virtual history of bikes, like GT is for cars. I'd really like to know what the hell is so bad about INCLUDING more and interesting bikes...
Look, I'm not American, and even I understand things like Harleys represent a really important chapter in the history of motorcycles and should be included.
The logical endpoint of your argument is that GT should only have the race cars, everything else is far too slow and cumbersome. Take out the tank car, the trucks, the econo hatches, the funny Motor Carriage and Wagon, do away with the muscle cars... you'd end up with a pretty uninspired dull game IMO.
