Thank you.

Welcome Dave, nice to see new members. 👍

That rumour shore is a funny coincidence!

I for one would love to see the almighty mountain in GT, it's just so amazing!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH7s0dsowI0

might give you a better understanding of the speed of the race and what can happen if something goes wrong.

I won't be on for the next couple of days

Did you see this: https://www.gtplanet.net/local-rumours-suggest-bathurst-circuit-scanned-for-gt/

It seems we might get in the future the real Mount Panorama in the GT series.

Great...

While waiting, I did some laps on Phillips version in the Ford Falcon. is indeed very exciting

The track (MP) may never be used, but just look at the feedback and interest all ready, tells you a lot.

Thanks turbo / Sam.

Phillip.

While PSN was down, I experimented a lot with the coursemaker and I got several tracks that remind the 70's Zandvoort track . I shared one of them that I called "Dutch Dunes".

I hope our Dutch friends will like it.

I hope its close to zandvoort. would love to have zandvoort in gt5.

Turbonato' s new track is great with the SLS on sport hard tyres.

I hope my brother has shared it?
I have tested Alexi's track and I agree with turbogeit "Gravel Hill: Looks like a mixture of Barcelona and Jarama. Wood be ideal for not too powerful cars"

so whose tracks are there for testing tonight?

Gravel Hill is nice but too easy imo. Turbogeit's Dutch Dunes 2 is also nice and more challenging. very close to the real zandvoort in some sectors.

Turbonato's track with SLS is a masterpiece imo ^_^

Great, so there's a couple more tracks to try, making 5 in total. We'll leave it as that for this week.

I'll be opening a room shortly to try Daves and turbos tracks. Unless someone has opened a room already?

👍

Some nice testing tonight.

For me the best track was the Hell ****(forgot name) track,if we'd race there with some mid-powerfull and nicely balanced cars(rx7)i think we could have a winner...

But have to test some more combo's in the next few days!!

Tonight was a really productive test session. 4 tracks tested and the standard is getting higher.

Thanks to all that took part, I'll be interested to hear your comments.

I think I know which one will be picked, but only time will tell. Next Monday we'll test for which car to use on the chosen track and possibly another track if you think you've got one better.

Tomorrow you'll be in the very capable hands of Phil with his Wednesday fun night, then on Thursday it'll be back to the main event using the Amuse S2000's.

👍

Definitely, the great winner of this evening for me is the .... RX7:):)

I tested the Hellhole after leaving the room. Once you know it, it's great. But you need a car that slides.

From the 4 tracks, the only one that did not convince me (for a race)... was my own one. It looked fine when I was alone on the track, but with more cars, the blind corners are problematic.

So Ronza 7, Gravel Hill or Hellhole: for me they are all ok, but put an RX7 on it..

I thought the bumps and ramps on Hellhole raceway would scare everybody away, I guess I was wrong.

It is shared by turbonato (don't know you're on his Friendslist), but I will share it now, so you can download it.

Got it, thanks! 👍
Had to barge onto the ps3, so I'll test drive it sometime later.

With a name like "HELLHOLE RACEWAY", and being described as having bumps, and being thought to "scare people away"... It's gotta be worth checkin' out. ;)

Mount Panorama Race Track

Australia

Theme night using Holden Monaro / Commodore

490bhp – 1658Kg – 528pp Tyres Sport Soft

Qualifier of 10 minutes / 15 lap race with pit stops.

One pit stop is compulsory

Last Wednesday we had fun in a TCR shuffle night and must say the turnout was fantastic, 5 hours I hosted the room for, which was full almost from the word go. Sorry to members that sent PM’s for another one.

But I would like to bring you something new again this week, as in a theme night at a fantastic iconic track from Australia, Mount Panorama.

I’ve tried to capture some of the parts using track creator but still sticking to the 3 sector format of TCR. Like the real track it’s tight with not many places to overtake, so I’ve moved one of the straights from the end of the real track and put half way round, making a Plato at the top of the hill. This was done to try and find you more places to use draft and overtake.

Please watch the videos that Tiggles / turbogeit have taken the time to supply, they will give you an idea of what’s in store.

If you don’t have any of these cars, use any large FR saloon car that you can tune to the settings above.

I used rear aero, then brought all my parts in the race lounge garage, so not using weight reduction or engine tuning, came out bang on 490bhp and 1658Kg. I didn’t tune any of the settings and both cars were very driveable, one under steers a little, the other a little tail happy, up to you.

No TC or race cars.

Step up to the plate yes it is very technical, so is the real track :nervous: but are we lesser men or just mere boys.
Phillip.

Hi Dave322.

In a word no, that room will be closed now.

Tonight there will be a midweek special night for members of TCR the room number will be posted later today, your welcome to join in, read the details in the post, Mount Panorama.

Don't worry about not knowing the track nobody is meant too :scared: the night is all about enjoyment for the members and a break from the main event Amuse S2000.

Its meant to be just a fun night of relaxation and enjoyment. 👍 and trying something new.

Phillip.

It was good to test the varied tracks on offer last night, nice job guys 👍

I agree with Spy in that something like the RX7 could be used on Hellhole and Gravel hill.
Something more powerful, I feel, would be suited to Ronza or Dutch Dunes. It will be interesting to see which combo is finally chosen.

Using Phil's track/car for Wednesdays is always a nice distraction from the usual agenda.

Thanks Gary, I hope tonight is better than the Supra '97. I ditched the idea of a one make race with the Ford Falcon, as it's not a car easily come by, some members may not have it, but would have made for a spectacle on Cobani's photo shoot.

Track Testing

Out of the track tested Monday / Tuesday the one that gave me the best buzz was Hellhole, kept you on your toes, one or two bends made you really slow mid-way round, if you didn’t, you were soon off into the grassy bits.

I must say as did Alexi everyone seems to have up their game in the tracks being produced, makes picking just one out of a number that much harder. Normally one just shines through but not anymore.

Great work, you could see a lot of hard work and thought has gone into the entire tracks, 10/10 keep them on record, as they may still be used at a later date.

Phillip.

Hi Everyone, Do i need to grab myself a new car for tonight and also what sort of time do the room numbers appear. Cheers

As its says in the detail of my post.

Australian theme, cars to be used were possible are.

Holden Commodore SS '04 and the Holden Monaro CV8 '04

But we know that some members may not have these cars, so its ok if you don't.

All we ask so it's fair to others is you pick a large FR saloon car close to the setting bhp / weight that you have. you can then tune this to fit see the post for details.

I'll be opening a room soon, so if there are any TCR members about that would like to race early they can do. 👍

Phillip.

I'll just get a cuppa and then open a room if some one can post so I don't get told off for double posting thanks.

New room number 1472-6681-3329-8085-2910

Sorry for that guys not my fault, fingers crossed.

Holden Manaro / Commodore prefered but any large saloon like this will do, we know everyone may not have them

Room is quiet at the moment, just had some nice laps with turbogeit, what a great smooth driver he is  pleasure to race with. I'll be away for dinner soon, room is still open for anyone to use.

cant find a holden. what else is accepted.

Any Large FR saloon.

But an error just happened in the server.

Its now saying server unavailable, but we'll keep trying for a room watch the thread for new room number.
