Awesome night of racing in this Combo, really loving it... Only 3 guys into the 1'19s, PASM, Rutter and Cico who got down to a 19.8

The car and track require a fair bit of knowledge. I feel the car defiantly shows it's limit as you lose a mountain of time if you get into a corner to hot.... Looking forward to the next session!

Yo! I haven't been on for a while. My TV has plonked out on me, so unfortunately until I get a new one I am unable to make it to the races. Just when my NAT type was holding steady too as well. It's not fair....

Whoops; not a good way to rejoin the track after going off.

And then exiting the race on lap 3 after going off.

And the only remark made was. No I didn’t, I don’t need too.

I don't have to say anymore the pictures tell the whole story.

Philip

Here is the link to the race in question. It's the first lap which you say I rear eneded you three times. To me I done nothing wrong on this lap but hopefully you can point me in the right direction.

Maybe others want to have a look aswell and make there own judgement.

Also you show the photo of me rejoining the track in a bad manor. I had lost control, hit the barrier and the only way the car was going to go was back accross the track. Luckily I turned to ghost and there where no crashes.

Guys, as fun as the racing often is, these little issues can happen. I think it is best for you and for TCR if you discuss this matter privately via PM, if it needs discussing at all.

OT: I like the adjustments that have been made to the Amuse. Racing is indeed closer without it becoming too easy to control the car. Thumbs up Alexi for the discision 👍

I enjoy racing with the racers that come into this room...this is the only reason I do play online. Love the tracks and competitive nature of each driver. The thing I need now it to get my speed up or oil changes.

Cheers bart, I thought last might was epic. Shame I had to go so abruptly.

Not sure if I'll get much time this weekend, but we're probably start the 2 week combo as from now.

Also, good point about the issues of racing etiquette phil, but Bart has a point when he says it's not ideal for it to be on the thread.

General note to all drivers - If you're overtaking the chap in front, it is 100% the responsibility of the driver overtaking to make sure it's clean. If they brake early or do something unexpected, it's still the following drivers responsibility.

Also, whether it's your fault or not, a sorry can go a long way.

👍

From what I’ve seen ampj6 you’re doing a fantastic job, remember these guys are some of the best out there, Pasm, cico, Alexi, Rutter, Joylord Mr D, Noss man the list goes on and on, I’m normally the last over the line. So long as you don’t take my spot all’s fine lol.

Just keep doing what you’re doing; you’ll soon be up at the sharp end of the race I’m sure.

Phillip.

Hi guys, it is indeed better to discuss incidents by PM.

Nevertheless, we should be aware of the following phenomenon. When there is lag (and there was yesterday), there may be slight differences between the positions of the cars on different PS3 that are connected. Concretely, it is possible that on your PS3 cars touch and that they do not touch on the PS3 of the other driver. When I was stewarding for a WSCC-race two drivers sent me their replay of the same incident: in one replay they clearly touched, in the other one there was at least 50 cm between them.

I may be away for the next 30 minutes but be free to do some free run. I'll be checking every once and a while if people want to race.

Good day gentlemen.
I'll be opening a room this afternoon (unless I get roped in to choirs).

How do people feel about keeping this combo for another week?

It would really help with preparing the next combo. We'll still be testing Monday and Tuesday, where we'll be testing Ronza and any tracks people have.

👍

This combo is fine, although the car is a little too fast for me, but I think practice is the best way to become a better driver.

Ronza7 is a track that feels good, but perhaps the announced shutdown is the occasion to return to our course makers and to try to create great tracks.

Correct, I have to do it in a very long winded way, which is why I haven't had time to do so, but will try ASAP.

Looks like we maybe going down for time, could be Tuesday testing for the next online stint.

Endurance here I come till then.

Phillip

Bummer :(

I've got a track or 2 for testing tonight (once PSN is back up). I'll only be presenting one, but just can't decide on which one yet. If anyone would like a sneak preview, feel free to download from my community.

👍

If only I was there to test this. But you never know.

I just tested Gravel Hill, Mount Panorama and Ronza Circuit 7.

Mount Panorama: a little tricky with it's turns on hillcrests. But very spectacular.

Gravel Hill: Looks like a mixture of Barcelona and Jarama. Wood be ideal for not too powerful cars

Ronza Circuit 7: Feels very natural, smooth.

I prepared some tracks too, but I'm still testing them and I will keep them for another time.

Thanks to Sam(tiggles) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO3HPPPNLGs
for this, I can see some parts.

This would be for a Wednesday themed night, not the main two week event, but something a little different.

And yes it is very technical, so is the real track :nervous: but are we lesser men or just mere boys.

Phillip.

Yippy we have a critic. Thanks Carl feedback is important.

But TCR still has the job of three sector track selection so please don’t get despondent or get dejected if your track doesn’t get selected even if you feel it’s the best track in the world. We have looked in to trying to offer an anonymous voting but it is very hard to manage or at least with our work and life commitments. So if you would like to voice or treat it as a vote you can always PM Alexi or me about what you would like to drive. Put it this way somebody has to make the discussion.

Jeez Phillip if your track is like that with a Commodore or Holden I'll have to do something about my current situation as I'm currently TVless, even if I just get to watch it'd be worth it. I will be sorting out something for this:sly:

I should have made the downhill a little less daunting, and maybe put one or two more straights towards the end; I did with the first track.

But trying to stick to the 3 sector format made this almost impossible, once I tried the Ford Falcon XR8 or whatever it is, that just grabbed me by the seat of the pants and I couldn’t let go.

10 minute qualifier 15 laps with 2 pit stops 10 minutes off for photo call, Cobani is going to have kittens. The view as you take the first decent is mind blowing, if you get the chance to look, or park at the top and look round.

Like the real track, which I’ve only ever seen on TV 2 or 3 times, there is not much in the way of places to overtake, but if there were it would not be the right feel, of what is an iconic race track.

Maybe now you see where I was coming from with this idea, whether the track is used or not, don’t matter, just enjoy it for what it’s meant to be.

A big thanks to Sam, hope you all get the time to view Sam's video and try the track.

Phillip.
