Yup... Especially the first right/left chicane !! It is SO confusing... Until you get used to it in two laps, you run into the barriers before you can ever shift the weight of the car for the next oncoming left... I slow down to 2nd and power out while the others simply drive thru full throtlle, :reallyodd mostly squashing me into the barriers like a swatted fly !!!! :blackeye:

i miss the old school version from GT1. I remember the SS Route 11 enduros, driving my 946 hp GTO twin turbo. going under the front straight and doging thru those barricades! rrraaarrrghhh! so aggrivating.. yet so much fun...

those were good times.

Ahhh... The Mitsu GTO. I had a silver LM version, man I miss that car.

I like the R11. I don't know why and none of my friends like it, but there is something I like about it. And it doesn't matter which way, forward or reverse, it's all good. And I agree, the R11 in GT1 was a better track.

I like the R11 front and reverse. Very technical although one would never see a track like that in real life. With the wheel and pedal I find it 10x easier. First time I tried it out I didn't realize the track no longer crosses over and I was looking for the big honkin expressway poll to start my turn in. Ooooops. :D

I like this track even though it is the only track in the game with major pop-up. :(

This track is fun to drive once you get to know all the corners :)
Don't really like it in reverse though.

I can't drive this track. It just bothers me. I have my "racing *****" from the next room over do the races here. He seems to be able to run this track well. Someday I will sit down and learn it but not any time soon

I like this track, forward/reverse. The latter is tough but i still enjoy it. On the reverse run i lost a 15 or 20 lapper to the damn R390 on the last lap i had just caught him and made my pass and BANG, he hit my rear end and i went straight into the wall. After throwing my controller i thought, damn, that was a good freakin' race.

The worst part of the change from GT1 is that they left the old road in there, they just blocked it off! Bastards! So every time I go around I wish I could go that way instead... :(

I don't midn this course forward, but I hate it in reverse. I too, miss the old GT1 SSR11, they need to have a choice between new and old school. The death turn was sweet!

I have a fix where I try to accomplish a best time at the first right-left chicane. (remember : the long right curve, the hard right, second right and then, the chicane)

I did a 00:16:249 with my fully tuned Calsonic GTR. Gonna try with the F001 and let's see what the next best's gonna be...

It's a great track, forward and backwards :D

I miss the double chicane in GT1 version of SS-R11.

Hate those bastards that keep on crashing into me from behind though. They always do not slow down sufficiently before the corner and end up banging into the walls (and me)!

Once you get ahead by 5+ seconds and away from the fray, it is an enjoyable ride.

I'm not overly fond of the track.
One improvement that I would make for SSR-11.
DAYLIGHT.
SSR-5 isn't nearly as dark in the darkest places as some of the dark/blind spots on R-11. Lack of light, and visibility are my biggest complaints about this course.
Also because of the varied distances between VERY sharp turns, it's difficult to get a 'rhythm' going.
For you musical types: it's kind of like playing 4 measures at 4/4 time, then half a measure at 2/4time, then changing up to 6/8 time.:banghead:

I have troubling seeing in day courses. I just to the brightness and contrast up higher.

I don't mind SS11, however...
I really really really hate SS11 II, the highest I've ever finished on it is 4th, I must have raced it maybe 15 times now

I don't hate any of the tracks, even SSR11 II. Every track presents its own challenges. I think every track in GT3 is fun to race on. Sure, some of them are hard to figure out and it can make you mad, but once you know every track and how to handle them, all of the tracks can be quite fun. I also liked how SSR11 was set up in GT1 better.

I don't really mind, I guess the only complaint is that it's long...;)

I liked this track better on GT1. In GT3 they took out the really cool chicane. That was the best part of the track.

Yep, Using the GTO LM on the enduro in GT1 was great. I really liked that track much better than what it is now. I hope they bring it back to normal for GT4!

I agree that the original is better. I took an FTO to the track in GT1 and remember it as one of the fondest few days with GT1 (any GT for that matter) I'd ever had.
