Why are people trading gears in the marketplace? What is the appeal of them?

Why are people trading gears in the marketplace? What is the appeal of them?

Because just like paint chips & tickets, they're valuable. What makes them valuable is that you only get them from Seasonals, and you only get one racing suit or helmet per position you arrived in. And the appeal of the gears is that each and every one is different & unique.

There just like pokemon cards or football cards, worthless really but people like to collect them. "Gotta catch 'em all"
