The Zonda F was fantastic, as I expected, glad to see it take its spot in the top 5. I personally think its one of the best looking supercars of all time.

I've just started watching, and I had to pause the video just to say the selection of women at the front is very nice this week.👍

Good god that Mercedes V12 sounds incredible... Perhaps the single best sounding car on earth, that thing.

Not surprised at the results of the laps, either. The Veyron weighs about the same as a full sized American pickup truck, even with a thousand horsepower and airbrakes, that's a lot of weight to lug around corners.

"Simplify and add lightness", as Colin Chapman would have said.

Pagani is amazing… it takes a lot to become a new yet successful supercar company.

I know that car computers always estimate well under what is actually left in the tank, but to have about 120+ miles is a bit excessive. I thought it was commonly 50. Enfield didn't look that quick, did he?

I think cars usually have 3 or so gallons on reserve. If a car gets 20mpg then that works out to 60 miles, but if it gets ~50mpg like the Jaguar then you have 150 miles.

Overall it was a pretty good episode. I was surprised Hammond and May played that passing game instead of trying to draft each other. I laughed when the Zonda's engine exploded. It reminded me of Formula 1.

Brilliant. An easy 9/10 from me, I absolutely loved it. Not the funniest episode, but it seemes more 'real' and 'genuine'. Skipped the SIARPC, since I always skip it now.

Really enjoyed this episode. They said exactly what I wanted them to say about each car and I am so glad the Zonda F roadster beat the veyron. I mean the cars above it, bar the CCX, are completely stripped out bare FIA GT cars, kind of like the F1 GTR. For the Zonda to be that comfortable and luxorious and that fast is a good achievement.

I'm not sure which sounded better, the deep rumbling growl of the Veyron or the higher pitched V12 Zonda.

You could hear the Veyron's tyres over the sound of it's engine  Zonda's sound every time 👍

The Veyron reminded me of a Scalextric car, ultra quick down the straights but dreadful at the corners!

I enjoyed last nights episode, it was a nice refreshing watch to finish off a otherwise dull week.

Well the Pagani does have a better power-to-weight ratio than the Veyron, so it was bound to be faster.

Does anyone know if there's a diecast version of that Zonda Roadster somewhere, I want one!

Lets not forget that the CCX had a rather noticeable aftermarket attachment also.

It was actually quick on the corners, very quick, just not as quick as the Zonda, Enzo, MC12 etc, but it was never going to be. Still a nimble car which is quite an achievment for it's weight.

Yep, I thought the "race" they had actually had a point, and it was good to see James May getting the best job for a change!

It just looked, so ungainly through the corners which made it appear slow. I suppose the smoking inside tyre didn't help either. Although, to be honest I didn't expect it to be Gumpert quick, or even Koenigsegg quick. Primarily to do with the Veyron's huge weight.

Is it weird that I'd have much preferred to see a lap in the Panda?

I'll let myself out...

I thought the Estoque looked magnificent before, but seeing the video of it, wth them walking along side it made it that much more stunning.

Thanks for holding the door for me :)

Although, I do love the Zonda much more than the Bugatti.

Well I thought that Australia was getting the latest series of TG but the 'ALL NEW' season is actually a good half year old:ouch:

It was a great episode, I am suprised how well the Veyron handled the track considering it mammoth weight, very impressed.

They Veyron has a habit of looking slow but it sure isnt.

You must have missed the part where it shot off the line like a rocket... hehe. I don't think I've ever seen a car come off the line as fast as that thing did.

Finally caught this one (out of town for the holidays). On those two laps, you could see that the Zonda was taking the corners faster than the Veyron, but I think I was correct in saying that the sheer acceleration of the Veyron would counter that, and still yield a respectable time. More than respectable, I'd say... it's faster than the Enzo, and faster than the Zonda F coupe, and that's saying something. I think it did a lot better than the naysayers were thinking it would.

The Veyron looks best in pure white in my opinion, but now matter how fast it is, I just cannot appreciate it as much as the Zonda. The sound is just amazing, and the looks, just woah! Not to even mention the speed it carries with 300 horsepower less than the Bugatti 👍

What struck my brother and I as we watched it was how the Bugatti just didn't look like fun, despite the fact that it was still shockingly fast. As a testament to its engineering and power, yes, it rightfully would have received the top spot if they would have tested it all those years ago... But I think even more important is seeing how far technology has come since then, with the Zonda F, Gumpert Apollo, etc.

I'm still waiting for a ZR1 run. I don't think I'm going to get one... They're not supposed to go on sale in the UK, right?

They are, at £107,000. Only 10 to 20 are coming though for this year.

Bugatti isn't helped that it has to lug ^ around.
