Both from Yorkshire.

I hope that's where the article ends.
Didn't know that Clarkson was from Yorkshire(being in the USA and all), but knowing that I hope that the article does provide some context between the two men. One was clearly a criminal, the other is a fool.

Repeated Red Arrows documentary on in Top Gear's place tonight, Fifth Gear is on at the same time on History and there is a TG repeat on Dave..

Remember seeing a Dave AD stating it as the only place to watch Top Gear this Sunday at 8.

Fifth Gear might be a new episode as a new series started on History last week, unless its a repeat of the first episode, the Ad didn't say......but ill probably watch it anyway...

I believe that the most intriguing part of that whole article was what Perry McCarthy had to say... Sounds like he is hinting at something...

He may very well be hinting at this new show , and calling out BBC for their mistake.

EDIT: Tiff Needell is reportedly doing the driving!

That photo is Mud Sweat And Gears isn't it? Tom Ford is a presenter on that.

Also, AutoEvolution.

Tom Ford posted this photos on his Instagram shortly before Steve Brisbane announced the show on Twitter , the photos are likely new , who knows.

There are no facts until Mr. Clarkson actually says anything. Fin
Now that you mention it... it does look a bit like Mud, Sweat and Gears...

Jeremy Clarkson already recording new show?
No.

It's amazing how a news outlet can make a news story out of a Tweet that is clearly someone's idea of a motoring show wishlist.

I also thought it was a bit too soon for Jezza to be making another show.

I'm surprised the BBC just shut down TG because Jezza left. I mean, he's just one man, it's not like the whole show depends on him. The problem was, the BBC gave Clarkson this big ego and he thought he was invincible, so he makes a few jokes, then ineveitbly offends and attacks a producer and then he leaves the show and the BBC thinks this is the end? I think Hammond is perfectly capable of running the show, not May because he's just Captain Slow. I mean all Jezza did was shout and drive fast. Hammond did a lot more like, riding a bicycle through London and ST Petersburg, sat on a snow-capped mountain for several days, sat in a Citroen C1 in very cold conditions, winched a Land Rover up a vertical dam, rode a bobsled down a bobsled track, survived a crash in a Top Fuel Dragster, I could go on all day. Granted he doesn't have the acting skill that Clarkson did but they could get another presenter on for that. I'm just saying Top Gear doesn't need to end because of one man.

This. SUCKS.

I like to read their magazines too... I wonder what will happen to those now..?

Just sad.. As soon as I find out it may only go on for another two years I cry inside myself.
To learn it may as well never comeback, well, I'm going to start etching my own tombstone now...

Agreed.

Remember when Tiff Nedell stars on Top Gear on Atom V8 review? Why didnt he sacked from fifth?

Also, anyone believes the Sun?

They didn't and he hasn't left. Yet.
Well, it still looks highly likely (if not certain) that he will leave. I'm just hoping TG doesn't die because of it.

There is a colossal gulf between it being likely he will leave and that he has left.

TG hasn't been "just shut down" either. It has been postponed, because the news segment, SIARPC and some of the studio shots are filmed on the Wednesday before the episode. Since Clarkson is on suspension, he can't film any of those bits, SIARPC primarily, so the episode can't be produced.

Nothing at all.

The Telegraph are reporting that BBC2 suffered a ratings 'disaster' last night, with 4m people failing to tune in to the 'replacement' programme (a documentary about the Red Arrows)... all I can say is - well duh!

I had a vision of Top Gear viewers being forced to find something else to do at 8pm on Sunday night, in a scene reminiscent of what happened in Springfield when Itchy & Scratchy got cancelled - adults of all ages suddenly rediscovering their old hobbies, fixing stuff, painting fences, speaking to their families, learning a musical instrument etc. etc..

The horror.

I did some work yesterday evening. I'm actually financially better off because Top Gear wasn't broadcast.

Thanks Clarkson.

I watched Top Gear on Dave.

So that dinosaur article was actually time stamped 1999, Just Media thing.

FTFY. ;)

It's good to know that the media has very reliable sources.

http://transmission.blogs.topgear.com/2015/03/16/further-news-about-this-sundays-top-gear/

Last week, the BBC released a statement about the current series of Top Gear, confirming that last night’s show (15th March) was to be postponed following an incident during production.

The incident in question is currently being investigated and Ken MacQuarrie, the director of BBC Scotland, has been appointed to lead this process.

We can now confirm that Top Gear will not be back in the studio this week and, as such, the episode due for broadcast this Sunday night (22nd March) will also be postponed pending the outcome of the investigation.

We will bring you more news as soon as we have it.

2 weeks off, so enough time to film the 3 way hyper car battle, as this is clearly a conspiracy to attract viewers to that paid fully by Ferrari who will be deemed the winners and the greatest car brand of all time.

They really need to get this sorted now as its getting a bit boring and last night Dave showed a repeat of the average India special...

...8pm on Sunday is nothing without proper Top Gear....

...Also I saw some bits and pieces of the MOS article yesterday comparing Clarkson to Saville, it was a 'top BBC Executive' who did the comparison saying that Clarkson's general behaviour was similar to Saville's at the height of his popularity and he said Clarkson has personal issues and should go to rehab, a lot of victims of Saville and their families are said to be understandably upset about the comparison..
