They really need to get this sorted now as its getting a bit boring and last night Dave showed a repeat of the average India special...

...8pm on Sunday is nothing without proper Top Gear....

...Also I saw some bits and pieces of the MOS article yesterday comparing Clarkson to Saville, it was a 'top BBC Executive' who did the comparison saying that Clarkson's general behaviour was similar to Saville's at the height of his popularity and he said Clarkson has personal issues and should go to rehab, a lot of victims of Saville and their families are said to be understandably upset about the comparison..

Well I'm not surprised the victims and their families are upset. Every time they hear anything about Clarkson from now on will trigger that memory of him being compared to Saville and in turn, trigger the memory of what Saville did to them.

Pretty screwed up if you ask me especially if it was from a 'top' BBC Executive.

2 weeks off, so enough time to film the 3 way hyper car battle, as this is clearly a conspiracy to attract viewers to that paid fully by Ferrari who will be deemed the winners and the greatest car brand of all time.
While making the BBC lose millions of viewers?

Welcome to the Tin Foil Hat club, what size straight jacket?

"Oh noes! Top Gear is on hold and the Top Gears on Dave weren't very good"

If you are telling me you do not know where to go to watch any episode of the show then you need to hand in your licence to use the internet and stick to the libraries.

Dave advertised the fact that they were the only place to watch TG whilst it was off air, they could have picked any episode to capitalise on this and they chose the India Special....

The streets would have been set on fire with a decision like that!

I'm just saying that its not a great episode and they could've picked a better one..

To be entirely fair, that's like advertising you're the only place to watch Premier League football this weekend and then showing Swindon Town vs Oldham Athletic from 1993.

I'm assuming that's bad, seeing as you're comparing it to the India Special?

This week's episode was oficially postponed (not like we were already expecting it)

EDIT : Jeremy apparently quit TG.

EDIT 2: Quoted: "I wonder why the BBC didn't lift a finger when Clarkson punched Piers Morgan back in 2004..."

First you're linking The Sun. This is how one loses arguments.

Secondly

"I wonder why the BBC didn't lift a finger when Clarkson punched Piers Morgan back in 2004..."

Is a self explanatory statement.

I'm not trying to win any argument here.

No. You were trying to argue that the BBC are not being impartial over this matter.

I then pointed out the difference between the BBC suspending Jeremy Clarkson punching a producer in the face in 2015 after a string of controversies involving him that had lead the BBC too say that he was on his "final warning" (which of course comes at a time when the BBC is under extreme pressure to show that it no longer treats its stars as being above everybody else on the planet in terms of what they are allowed to do in light of its obviously terrible handling of the Savile atrocities) and the BBC failing to publicly reprimand him eleven years ago in an entirely different context for punching Piers Morgan in the face.

If you need it spelt out in clear terms, there they are.

Yes. You were trying to argue that the BBC are not being impartial over this matter.

On my original post i did nothing but link some articles , i wasn't trying to "win" any argument sir.

No, it shows the improvement in BBC's attitude regarding workplace safety.

What makes you think he actually punched the director? You don't know . Also BBC does have a lot to improve in terms of "workplace safety" , since they allowed rapists on their network before.

I don't, but BBC probably does, and even if they don't, it won't change anything anymore.
Also BBC does have a lot to improve in terms of "workplace safety" , since they allowed rapists on their network before.
Before doesn't mean that they still do.

Thanks for the obvious statement , that's why i said :

Well it's said that he already quit TG and from BBC altogether , thank god , let's see what the future brings us.

Regarding that AutoEvolution article, pure clickbait. They took his column as fact and said he had quit for some free internet traffic.

Edit: nothing official has been said yet about his career.

I know , i only linked it for the sake of it .

You're correlating past and present there.

One hopes that since what happened with Jimmy Savile (a popular presenter and child abuser from the 1970s and 1980s) came to light in 2010 that the BBC will have vastly improved in those regards, and we have no evidence that they haven't.

Obviously, as it is effectively impossible for an employer to monitor its employees actions at all times without hiring the Statsi, some employees may get away with serious misconduct; and with rape and sexual assault both being vastly under-reported and even more seriously under-convicted crimes which are difficult to detect, one sadly must expect any large scale employer to unknowingly hire someone who is guilty in these regards.

This is the case at all establishments, be it a restaurant, a broadcaster, or an insurance company.

If you fail to get it now I'm just going to start viewing you as a troll.

I'm very aware that BBC improved on those type of occurances , glad they did , i'm also not saying that they did wrong with Jeremy's situation , it's perfectly reasonable.

If you fail to get it now I'm just going to start viewing you as a troll.

If that makes you feel any better.

Apparently @JoaoSilva is not the only one making comparisons between Clarkson and Jimmy Savile - and Jeremy is (understandably) not happy about it...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring...nstructs-lawyers-over-Jimmy-Savile-smear.html

I still think the comparison is a very unfair one - however, it would be wrong to ignore this incident as just another gaffe, an ill-advised comment or an offensive joke... the nature of this incident is entirely different. Meanwhile, the Telegraph are also reporting that Clarkson is being lined-up to host an episode of 'Have I Got News For You' on BBC2, which is a positive sign at least.

It's not the same situation but it should be compared to a certain degree IMO. Also him hosting "Have I Got News For You" is indeed a good sign.

He's a much better panelist than he is a host.
