I'm struggling to muster any feelings about this. I haven't followed Top Gear for years, because it became tedious, as chzsln485 said. It's just interesting that this happened. I think it's reasonable that Clarkson got fired, but also not some huge scandal that he punched Oisin. I'll continue to be an american who never watched the BBC anyway. If the guys want to continue to do car-related things, they'll get to it when they can.

I dunno.
 
Jay Kay should replace Clarkson.
 
Get Jimmy Carr on, he's certainly been there enough times :lol:

Considering talk of who might front a revamped Top Gear, how about TT racer Guy Martin to replace Clarkson?

I too hope that Clarkson, Hammond and May get together and start up their own car program. Top Gear is officially dead to me.
 
If they all strike out the show BBC either brings Clark back and they keep going or they grab some Plan Bs and lose all their viewers.
 
Most of these potential replacements banded about on here would be just... Awful.

As much as I'm a big fan of Guy Martin (both his shows and his road racing antics) he isn't a TV presenter - not by a long shot. Chris Evans and Jay Kay may both be massive petrol heads, but are extremely irritating in anything more than thirty second measures.

Chris Harris' videos are brilliant, but they're entertaining because he's good at serious stuff, not playing a fool. The same applies to pretty much any magazine motoring journo - bear in mind that most of us are really in to cars so of course we'll like these people, but the general public would likely not find them that interesting.

People have mentioned Quentin Wilson - again, as nice as the Classic Car Show is, he isn't exactly a good fit for what is primarily an "entertainment" show first and a car show second. Tiffany Dell and Plato aren't needed because they have a Stig (though at least Plato would be good at bumping the others' cars on the road trip episodes...) Vicky Butler Henderson squeals too much, though otherwise might work quite well.

If they had to draft in three new presenters (which isn't completely out of the question) I think the best fit could be Tom Ford and Jonny Smith (given they're mates they might be able to achieve similar on screen chemistry to the current trio) with one other.

Could the other be Sabine Schmitz? She's no Clarkson but at least she can be funny and serious when it's needed.

Wait, is TG Germany still a thing? If not, then she may be available.

You know, i was just pick up my sister to that concert here. I saw many girls shouting Zayn to attend the concert. Theyre typical fangirls crush stereotype as i saw.

Now, i imagine, replace girls with boys/men/people, Zayn with Clarkson, concert with the show, and fangirls with fanboys/fans.

Coincidence, i think not.

👍 I too suggested him a few pages back. I think he'd make an excellent presenter too. Enjoyed every single programme iv'e seen him in.
