This sucks, I can't find it anywhere online, and I've got work all day tommorow after school, so it's gonna be a couple days until I can watch this episode. And BBC is gonna delete them off youtube quick too, they've already got most of the episode 1 clips.

Check out Final Gear, they have most of the episodes from the past few seasons. Give it time and they'll have an HD download ready... I'll get mine in the morning.
 
Good episode last night. Shame that they won't be on till the 28th again, but I sort of like it as thats my Birthday....


Good episode last night, although I didn't think it was as funny as the orginal amphibous cars piece, just my thoughts though.
 
Last nights episode was ok...

The review of the Audi R8 seems a bit late in my view. I can remember Fifth Gear doing a similar review about 3-4 months ago. They also used a Porsche to go head-to-head with the R8.

The episode wasn't to bad, the only thing I dislike is how they aren't focusing that much on car testing anymore. I mean I don't care if they are supercars or whatever, I just like to see the reviews on them.
 
Could someone please remind me which episodes had the long races...like I remember there was a long race with Clarkson in an Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Bugatti. I can't remember if there were any other long drawn out races like those three, where Clarkson goes again May and Hammond in an unconventional way.

Any help here? :)
 
There was one were Clarkson takes an SLR to Norway while racing James and Hammond in a boat.

That was a real great episode!

The review of the R8 was interesting, I have to say I dont agree with Clarkson saying those LED lights look rubbish, all the new expensive cars are starting to have them. Its a pity the R8 doesnt sound as good as it looks, it shouls be alot louder than that!

The news was interesting and Clarkson with that pipe! who would be stupid enough to put it in his mouth, was so funny! James may did make sense about the cheese thing but the way he phrazed it was really poor!

When say said they were going to do the channel the look of horror on thier face was genius! I was worried after the first few times that they would actually give up but I wanted to see them do it. Luckly Clarkson and his 'Nissank' did the business, I would have been funny if Hammonds camper had managed it with cabin boy may! :lol:

That has got to be one of the best things they have done, instead of driving somewhere again!

The rest of the show was good but I was abit miffed at what happened to the bit where Clarkson said he was going to drive a Ferrari on the moon, yeah it was a joke but I was actually hoping for a segment where Clarkson was with the car on some on purpose rubbish CG greenscreen background (like the bit at the start showed) driving on the moon and making moaning comments about the moon and probably about it being owned by the americans! :lol:... oh well :indiff:

Pity we have to wait 2 weeks, I dont get why BBC thinks such a high viewer rating program like Top Gear gets bumped for Billiards or something... Today Simon Cowell was moaning about Xfactor being bumped for the rugby semifinal.. I was thinking your joking right!?!

Have you heard a R8 in real life yet? They actually sound pretty good.
 
Ive seen an R8 on the road. After seeing it in the flesh it would seem a no-brainer to take that over the Carrera. I know I would any day.

I really loved how enthusiastic James was to get in the water and just failed miserably while Jeremy and Richard took their time, didnt seem as bothered or excited and done a lot better. Doesn't James get fed up of failing all the time? Id like him to win something for once.

He did win the first amphibious car challenge, so it's not too long ago. No wonder why he was keen to use a wind-powered sailing-boat-motor-car-thingy again. Until the challenge was revealed.

Pity Hammond's amphi-camper sank - again. I liked his concept the best, even if it was badly executed.

That episode of the used vans where ham rolls the car was hilarious. "I reckon if I give it a little flick..." :lol:
 
Ok nother question I remember the episode where all 3 race on a roadtrip with a Pagani Zonda, a Ford GT, and a Ferrari F430, and a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Richard a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and James an Aston Martin V8 Vantage N24.

Are there any other episodes like those two that I cannot remember? :)
 
I got done with the episode a bit ago and I have to say it was hilarious! The news was brilliant, the boat race was quite a chuckle-worthy experience, altogether a good episode.

I do wish they'd have spent more time beating on the R8 and the 911 C2S. Its a very interesting comparison, one that they oddly addressed quite well on Fifth Gear. Furthermore, where was James with some witty observation or some other odd model to throw into the conversation? I mean, we already know the 911 was the better choice, but lets be honest, there are other alternatives out there...

I'm still waiting for my 599 Test. I need my 599 Test.
 
I really loved the second Amph. car attempt. Captain Slow is soooo funny :-)

For people looking for Challenges / Long Races. : If you go to www.finalgear.com, they have an extensive index of most episodes, searchable - Usually by car name as well..
 
I just heard on the radio this morning that there were complaints against the last Top Gear episode because they lit the smoking pipes in an enclosed area. Apparently it was only a handful of complaints but they want the top gear presenters to apologise.
 
Oh for crying out loud! :ouch:
 
How do they get away with the stuff they pull? They've done a lot more irritating stuff besides "smoking indoors". :lol:

Why of course. The TG Studio is quite small and cramped, so litting a pipe (and then sticking the hot end in the back) is obviously endangering the life of a lot of people... I can't believe they did that...

Irony may have been Used....

If no complaints were issued I don't see a problem with it, but you'll always have some loud mouths who weren't even part of the event yelling and screaming about it. Happens in every country.
 
I mean come on...Thats just pathetic really, and Clarkson didn't evens smoke his properly, only May really got going. Just another complaint from people who seem to genuinely hate the show.
 
It is stupid, it's still illegal though.
 
Knowing Top gear, they won't care, they will probably just make jokes about it, rather than anything happening in particular.
 
I watched this episode last night, it was brilliant, much better than the first one humour wise.
