Well, the last time I watched it, Mike Brewer felt the need to waste my time by making me watch him fill a Kia Picanto with pound shop items. I kinda couldn't be bothered after that.

Here is the highlights for this Sunday's Top Gear:

Source - Official Top Gear Web Site

The Big Race sees Hammond and a Bugatti Veyron take on a jet fighter. Yep, that's plane versus car in the most horsepower-packed challenge we've ever undertaken. Don't miss it.

Jeremy has finally lured the Ferrari 599GTB down to the Top Gear test track, but how will the front-engined V12 supercar's lap time measure up?

James, as is his wont, has been sampling something a little more refined: the Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe. That's 6.7-litres of delicious British goodness... driving a convertible Roller. Sorry.

We've also got the self-parking Lexus LS600h in the studio (absolutely no potential for disaster there, naturally), as well as Lamborghini's awesome Reventon: the million-Euro special-edition Murcielago that looks like a jet fighter and goes like one too.

Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood is the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car, while Isle of Man local Jeremy squeezes himself into the Isle of Man's finest export: the Peel car. Never heard of it? Google it, then prepare to be amazed.

Am I right in thinking that he drives that peel thing through Television center and into a news broadcast?

And Top Gear episodes will be made available for download on GT-TV!

This also means we may not have to wait for GT5 to get these shows off GT-TV as both Prologue and even the current demo include GT-TV support. 👍

No more crappy internet videos or problematic bit torrent sites to deal with!

👍👍

Yay, if you want to know where I live then watch intently the Eurofighter footage. Also if you see someone wearing a "I am the Stig" T-shirt behind some fence, it's me...

That was a brilliant episode!

Clarkson coming out of the lift in the peel and saying Fiona Bruce has quite a nice bottom!

That car was just amazing, you would never have to walk anywhere again... even whats his name big BBC cheese showed up and took it for a spin!

The Rolls Royce was stunning although I dont know how James May had the balls to go round at night in outer London in it!

The Lambo is more amazing seeing it on TV than just in pictures... the back is unbelieveable!

Ronnie Wood was a great guest, really interesting and had stuff to say about cars!

Parking the Lexus was comical but I think it didnt work properly because either the space was too small or there wasnt a curb for it to see so it didnt understand even after hammond set it up right.

And finally the Veyron Eurofighter race... there realy wasnt any chance of the car winning anyway! But still entertaining!

Cant wait for the special next week!

Robin

What is next weeks special?

Africa next week, Joey.

That Peel Car is the best thing in top gear ever. Watching Jeremy in it was the funniest thing Ive ever seen in Top Gear:lol: Does anyone have any pics or maybe a video of it they can post up or pm?

I thought the Roll's review was good, like the atmosphere they created in the review. The Lambo was amazing. I think the Veyron vs Eurofighter was a bit a bit pointless, could have used that time to do more stuff in the Peel Car and save a hell of a lot of money. The 599 review was annoying, didnt do much apart from make a lot of noise and skidding around the airport which JC does almost all the time.

Call to pay parking? :scared:

Lexus parking

The Peel Car

That peel car was so kickass! It fits in a lift!! Seeing jeremy pulling off in it for the first time though had me in stiches.

Loved the 599 as well.

Africa next week, Joey.

Cool thanks 👍

Anyways I was able to watch the episode last night and I must say it was better then the previous two, they at least tested cars this time and it felt more like the older shows. I didn't really care for the 599 to be honest and I thought the race against the plane and the Veyron was a little pointless, but both were quite entertaining. I did however like the Peel, that car would be awesome to have.

Made me chuckle.

I thought it was a pretty good episode, overall. I would have though they'd done more with the Roller, but thats just me. Then again, the car did come out quite some time ago, so its hard to say. I also would have enjoyed having them show more of the Lambo ReBolution, particularly since it was apparent that the Stig did get to drive it, but I guess it isn't that big of a deal.

...And you have to love that Peel thing...

My roommate was trying to sleep, but I was laughing too hard at that Peel car. Brilliant episode.

That was a pretty good episode, the best of the series so far.

Great episode, that Peel car had me in stiches, it was just ridiculous to see it driving around an office. When he drove past the news crew, brilliant. The race between the Veyron and the plane was an awesome display of power and technology.

I'm still amazed that the Veyron actually beat the Typhoon off the line. In fact, it looks like the Typhoon didn't pass the Bugatti unti it was in the air. So you could argue that the car is still unbeaten on the ground.. lol. Pretty good turn at the end, too... maybe the thing can handle, after all.

The Peel bit was hilarious, doubly so because Jeremy seemed to genuinely like the car, and you could tell he had a blast with everyone's reaction to it. "Can you give me a push? It doesn't have reverse..." LOL That bit's going on the "Best Of" that I'm putting together. :)

Jeremy, Richard and James all turned out in their finery last night to attend the National Television Awards at London's Royal Albert Hall.

And it was worth the trip too, as they trounced the competition in their nominated category of Most Popular Factual Programme, as we predicted they would.

Clarkson also came away with the Special Recognition Award, presented to him by none other than F1 hero Lewis Hamilton.

"It gives me great pleasure to present this award to Jeremy Clarkson. Top Gear was always my favourite programme growing up, still is,"
he said.

"He always has something funny to say, except when he makes jokes about me."

Jeremy was almost speechless, but regained himself to say, "Thank you. It's not like a job, it's a playground. Thank you to my family, and then there's Richard and James..." Adding, "Without whom... this would still have been possible. Thanks."

 He IS the man !....

All three of them look like they’re on drugs.

Clarkson is a one-man army, and I think we're all unaware that he does everything on the show... The writing, the editing, and actually all the acting. Richard and James? CGI puppets, as acted by Clarkson on a green screen.

Sage = Mango?

WRONG!

Clarkson = Mango

Why is James of all people not wearing a poppy!?

This requires an e-mail.

Does anyone have any pics or maybe a video of it they can post up or pm?

The same car that Clarkson drove - and the "sporty" version - were both at the Goodwood Revival Meeting in 2006. All my pictures from my old camera.

Botswana on this weekend. :D
