Yeah, it's hard to tell if there is a difference.
I haven't noticed that banner either. But maybe it's always been there ... :confused:

Well let´s go on comparing, see if we find some improvements; here´s 2 pics closer up, better suited for the purpose (pre 2.06 aswell)

(also, another track; Laguna Seca has terrible lightning)

Has anyone experienced an FFB improvement with DFGT?? i have not had a chance to test it out yet... people are raving about the improvements in G27 but did not see many comments about DFGT..

The DFGT as a wheel always gave me better feedback than my G27, so I think you should be good.
 
I think some premiums now have cupholders for your tasty Coke/Pepsi/ラムネ/Noxious Liquid.

Yes, main problem is that I, myself, updated already aswell, so the pic´s I posted I made for another purpose than comparing different patches.
 
While I was playing GT5. I've hopped in my standard Ford GT '05, and noticed the driver was gear shifting in the cockpit. It also looked bright from the inside as well. Are the standard cars close to becoming premium? O.O

And another unannounced change was the Toyota 86 GT's chase camara. When viewing the chase cam behind it, it's further up now. Great changes PD, love them. :) I'm gonna see if theres more possible changes that were made.

Edit: Never mind the other standard cars don't have drivers gear shifting, weird... :\ Well I'm done. Nice changes though. 👍

For me: Exactly the same unfortunately...
But the lightning effects for sure were improved during gameplay, maybe this could cause mistakes about some standards being upgraded...
 
Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but we can paint the DLC touring cars. They don't lose their default livery either.

Holy mother of god! I just finished doing a 4 lap quickie at the 24H Nurburgring with my Tesla Roadster. I set the thing to 4:10pm with time progression to 10. I got to tell you guys, this track and day/night cycle didn't look like this before. The sunlight is absolutely beautiful! The tree shadows look like the ones in GT Academy's Nurburgring now.

I also noticed the before mentioned light effects inside the cockpit which make the details stand out better. I Don't know how this game looks so incredible! It's probably the best looking PS3 game so far. The transition from day and night was simply breath-taking. I quite frankly don't know how a GT title for the next gen will look like. The paint that I have in my Tesla which is Reflex Spice looks incredible. Much more sharper and the color shifting effect looks more prominent.

The new possition in the cockpit wasn't noticeable at all in the little Tesla, but for some reason it's easier to see what's outside and around you. I ran out of battery in the last lap, but the new BGM fuction helped me a lot so I didn't get bored during my 50mph/80kmh trip to the finish line :lol:

Other cars like the Viper look fenomenal in cockpit view. Much more visibility going on as well. You can even see the gear knob more than before in which you could only see the hand.

I don't know if it's me, but Sport Hards feel different now. They grip better, or is it me that was getting used to the Tesla's handling after the long race.

This update apparently upgraded FFB sensitivity for steering wheel users????
My Logitech G25 steering sensitivity has changed DRAMATICALLY!! (in a BAD way)
All cars for me are pretty much un drive able for me, the steering has become MUCH stiffer and noiser and it's really hard to steer even slow Front wheel drive cars.
I previously had my FFB set to 1 and was just beginning to adapt to it and now with this update it feels like its set to 7 or 8. Steering is really hard I hate it.
Is there any way I can undo the update??
PLEASE calling all G25 owners: have you noticed much stiffer steering on your wheel??
 
This may well be my mind playing tricks on me, but is the tyre smoke lingering more? I seem to remember certain tracks the wind would whip it away, as if it was gusting at over 30mph, yet I'm not seeing this so much now.
I've only tested two tracks at the moment, as I'm thoroughly shattered (SSR7 & SSRX)
 
Is it just me or are you not able to copy saves to a USB anymore?
EDIT: I don't have PLUS

Call me nitpicky, but I'm still waiting for the cockpit cam on the Citröen C4 Coupe VTS to go back to where it was on GT5:P... on GT5, it's too damn close to the wheel, the rearview mirrors are almost useless!

One of my favorite FF cars. I really hope they adjusted the view. It was too close before. If the did, I don't think it will be too dramatic though. I just want to be able to see that floating wheel.

I'll check tomorrow.
 
The game looks definitely sharper... better lighting effects... the paints look more realistic now... I'm still deciding about the sound, but its more mixed now... in cockpit cam you listen more to the exhaust sound than before.

Still testing.

It may be just me, but Mt. Aso feels a bit different....

Well, back to PS3 to check all stuff.

I find this funny. I have a G25 as well and I find the ffb at 10 to still be softer than I would like it. You obviously have not tried a T500RS.
 
I haven't tried it yet, but it might be a possibility we may get (or already have) a higher in-game credit cap.
