Edit: ^^^^ What a SAVE...

Since this is about good driving I think this classic should be here... ;) Talk about utilizing space...

And another one... incredible car control skills here... Drifting in super highly tuned specialist cars? Meh! This is proper drifting...

That's the beauty of Dunlop CR65's for you ;)

And old school 911 handling balance :D

Does that guy in the Elise have 50bhp more than all the other cars? If he doesn't he's clearly a class above everyone else he's racing against!!

Here's a good save from Jason Plato at Brands...

Whlist the car tuning brigade and petrol heads are mightily impressed with the whole drifting thing, this sort of driving can be learnt by good club racers.

Saying that Schumacher couldn't top that is a bit of an underestimate, considering many of his team mates couldn't drive those extremely nervous Benettons that were hand crafted for him. Witness some of his on the pace '96 qualifying sessions in the Ferrari that were driven with lots of oversteer.

What is impressive, is the ability to drive inadvertently at huge angles with an F1 car driven on a dry road that has super-sticky tyres, but losing the minimum amount of time in the same way that Villeneuve, Senna and very few others could or can do.

I see your Plato and raise you a Muller (complete with Plato assist)

 Muller can drive... very talented.

Here's an old one... Mansel actually catches this one well... then someone gives him a nudge and it all goes wrong...

Here you go...

Great video, that one 👍

@Stotty: Oh, thanks!
Yeah, it's one of the best (motorsport) videos i've ever seen. And it's not only because of Ari Vatanen's amazing driving skills, but it's also really well done, considering the year when it was made.
P.S. The music in the begining reminds me of music in GT5 intro :D and I must say that it fits this one much better:yuck:

No, it's built to regulations known as S2000 - "Super 2000", so named because they are built to 2000cc specifications.

Yet confusingly the new S2000 cars are 1600cc, and calling them Super 1600 would clash with the class that was/is used for rallying.

Brilliant Vids so far guys 👍

Also Awesome 👍

I've posted this before, but hell, its worth the repost

Senna Onboard Imola 94 practice

This is amazing. Senna onboard Friday practice at Imola 94. (the video has nothing do with his death but I warn you to be careful about clicking on some of the "suggested videos"). This one contains an interesting radio message. The speed is incredible.

Some awesome videos in this thread. Some I've already seen and never get boring, some I've posted myself already elsewhere in the forum. All of them make Ken "repeatedly rehearsed" Block look a bit average. Might have a little more respect for Kenny if he was any good at all at actual rallying...

I reckon this chap is a bit underrated: Emil Triner

Has quite a spectacular driving style and impressive car control too.

1100bhp + Mark Blundell = :)
Just wait till he starts the quali lap halfway through the vid. For those of you who don't know this story or havn't read this months Evo Blundell was told to come in after the first lap but he thought the car was good and his radio lead 'fell out' so he did the lap anyway. Got on pole by 6s. 👍

I've always though of this as a great pole lap aswell because he's constantly on the limits of traction, grip and the amount of road he uses.

For me the very limit of driving... How close to the wall at the swimming pool chicane at 1:05!

Yeah I think the Kubica lap is better then the Massa one.
I've posted these before but they are just simply insane.

Vitor Meira

Juan Montoya

Two of my favorites.

#1, my favorite F1 pass of all time.

While probably not as cool as the LMP lap at laSarthe posted above, the sound...

Pah! If the Raikkonen 2001 Monaco lap was still up, I'd post that, but this by far the most impressive pole lap by any driver;

But to be fair, any good lap at Monaco looks fantastic. I can never understand those who hate the track, one of the motorsport highlights of the year is qualifying at Monaco!

One thing I always love about Monaco and what also makes the cars seem to accelerrate faster is the shorter gearing, they're just changing gear almost constantly in the V8's.

To add another angle to this, I see the turbo f1cars as the most difficult to drive cars, I found this video of rfactor with the f185 mod round cadwell, which is extremely bumpy. So keeping this 1000bhp beast in a straight line here is nearly impossible.

I know its not a "real car" but it is unbelievable driving.
