If you miss San Andreas then make sure you check out Saints Row 2 / 3. Its as close as it gets to San Andreas but with full co-op and full customization.

Yeah well, im not getting any new games any time soon.

I got enough with Forza 4, Battlefield 3 (PC), Fifa 12 (PS3), and every now and then, GT5.
I will get Modern Warfare 3 (PC), but most likely only for the campaign!

Oh I hear ya. I dont even know what the heck I am going to do in November.

The wave of games that is about to hit next month is going to be like a Tsunami! By far the most anticipated month of 2011.

In order of ship date.

1. Uncharted 3 (will rent but probably get for christmas. Very excited for this game!)

2. MW2 (dont care much about this one at all but will rent to check out campaign)

3. Skyrim (Renting for sure to check it out. Looks very good)

4. Saints Row 3 (day 1 purchase. already pre-ordered)

5. Halo Anniversary (still undecided about this one. Probably purchase)

Plus I stil havent played Battlefield 3 or Crysis 1 yet!! And on top of that I am still playing Forza 4, Gran Turismo 5 (2.0 update), and Gears Of war 3. Along with trying to get in Halo Reach. Sheesh. Good thing nothing is coming out in December.

Uncharded 3 is absolutly going into my collection. Those are some of the best games I've ever played. As usual MW3 and maybe even GTAV.

So my work just threw a wrench in the gears. They might be sending me out to New York for 6 weeks next Monday. I just made the mistake of watching Part 3 of the Skyrim demo video where you see them fight a dragon. This is going to be tough...

Oh, and I'll miss my wife too.

Wow quite possibly the worst time to be sent away. Well by the time you get back most of the bugs and glitches in all these great games should hopefully be patched.
We laugh but we all know its true.

I wouldnt be surprised to see GTA5 in Vegas. Especially since there was a taste of Vegas in GTA San Andreas on the final island. And the V has a money look to it.
So my 4 guesses for GTA5 location would be:
1. Vice City
2. San Andreas
3. Vegas
4. Or even better!!!! The option to fly from Vice City to San Andreas!!!

I think Vegas is a fair guess. That's what came to my mind first with the money look of the 5 which also happens to be a V.

Actually if they go with Vegas, I'd like to see it like the strip from either the mobster era in the 50-60's or the strips boom in the 70's. Actually the more I think about it, I think a 70's era Vegas would be a cool setting.

Well we were discussing FPS games and I have played all Battlefield games for hundreds of hours and for me connection issues were mainly on the first week of release then after that (now listen carefully to this bit because you completely disregarded my comment from my last post) only very few times problems are experienced after that.

No, you guys were discussing EA as the original person you quoted was talking about EA titles. The Skate series is an EA title. And I did not disregard your last comment. In fact, I didn't even respond to it...

I wanted to buy it so bad but since its an EA shooter, those always have online connection issues. So I dont buy online EA shooters anymore.

Looks to me like we were talking about EA shooters

That is exactly my point. You didn't include it in the conversation, i.e. disregarded my comment.

You missed out a vital part in the comments I made to make it look like I never said there was continual problems after the first week of release - when infact I said:

"only very few times problems are experienced after that."

That setting would be similar to Fallout New Vegas. I would still love to fly from Vice City to San Andreas. How sick would that be! :D

I decided to pre-order Halo Anniversary this weekend. I have several friends that will be buying it for sure so its well worth the purchase IMO.

After watching a bunch of in game vids I decided today that I'll give SR the third a go and I paid for my copy. Now to find time for that, Skyrim, BF3, LA Noir, batman and star wars old republic.

Also for those that dont know, if you have Halo Reach you will be able to play multiplayer with people playing in Halo Anniversary. I imagine there will be some sort of playlist added to Reach for this.

Yes looking forward to SR3. My most anticipated title of 2011. I also plan to rent Skyrim on the 11th for sure. If its in. I loved Fallout 3 but didnt like Oblivion so I will rent to be safe. If I like the game then I will buy it. I am just happy thats a Friday release. I wish more games released on Friday.

I turned down the New York offer so it looks like I'll be knee deep in dragon blood come next Tuesday!

I'm starting to get a cough. It's not bad yet. But I have a feeling it's going to get bad next week.

My upcoming titles this month, are Uncharted 3, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Halo Anniversary, Assassins Creed Revelations.

OH yes thats right. Uncharted 3!! I will be renting that but I might put it on my christmas list. I still need to get Crysis for the 360 sometime. Its only $20.00 so I will probably just use ms points at christmas for that too.

If you don't buy Anniversary then I think the only way you can play against them would be to purchase a DLC pack with the anniversary maps. I wonder if Anniversary will come with the full Reach Multiplayer? ODST came with full Halo 3 multiplayer including all DLC map packs.

Thats a good question. I will have both so I am set no matter what.

Tonight I plan to play Uncharted 3 if I can rent it.

By the way, another game I'm looking forward to is Diablo III. Looking forward to that more than any game in recent years, to be quite honest. A 2011 seems a bit unlikely, though... Nobody else interested in it?

I know my buddy is pumped to get that game. He's been telling me about it on the bus for the last 2 weeks !

I sent my wife an e-mail to see if she could go rent UC3 for me. She replied with "I already did". :)
So I will be playing UC3 tonight for sure. :)

Can we swap? My wife just rolls her eyes every time I bring home another game

I have to admit however, she is very understanding about my Star Wars game collection. It now takes up far too much space.

haha wife swap. Nope sorry.

I put 2 and 1/2 solid hours into Uncharted 3. I am currently on level 8. What an a amazing game. The graphics, gameplay, voice acting, storyline, and puzzles are all top notch as always. Some of the puzzles in this one are very very creative. The use of lighting with the Horse, lion, Pheonix was insanely awesome. Just in general the lighting and use of lighting is the best I have seen in a game. I was also proud that I have not been stuck on a puzzle yet. I had to do some thinking with the puzzle I just mentioned but I had it solved within 5-10 minutes. Always so rewarding solving the puzzles in the UC series. I have also found quite a few hitten treasures. Been taking my time looking around as much as possible and taking in the stunning graphics. The water in this seris is just stunning. Looks so real. Cant wait to get home and put some more time into the campaign.

To wind down from the UC3 excitement I decided to finished up the autovista mode in F4 last night and spent a few minutes taking some pics.

Picked up Uncharted 3 the day before yesterday. AMAZING.

Yes it sure is...

-continued from my previous post about Uncharted 3. ***Might contain mild spoilers.***

So far this is easily GOTY 2011. I played Uncharted 3 all night. Now I have 6 total hours into the campaign and I am on level 16. Some of the previous levels reminded me a lot of Assassins Creed. A couple more creative puzzles especially the tomb puzzle using the light and statues. That was quite fun getting the shadows just right. Level 14 the shipyard and 15 the cruise ship level were just insane. The junkyard shipyard started a bit frustrating and I died a lot. But the level after that inside the cruise ship was very rewarding. Especially the "Aquarium" part. Both these levels had very innovative vertical gameplay. Parts of the cruise ship reminded me a lot of Prey. One minute I was on the ceiling, next on the walls, next on the floor. Just so awesome. The graphics in this game are just jaw dropping beautiful. The all around attention to detail especially the water. The most realistic water I have seen in a game. The Uncharted series always did a great job with their water and water effects. The draw distance, voice acting, facial expressions, frame rate, everything is just so crips and clean in this series. Nothing even close on 360. Its going to be tough for any game to try and top U3.

I have yet to play any of the Uncharted Series. Worth starting from the beginning? Or could I start from 3 and not be completely lost.
