Update 1.12/1.13 Undocumented Changes Thread

Pretty sure whenever people have used the term "number plates", nobody has confused it for license plates in regards to GT6 (mainly because you don't have customizable License plates).
*puts hand up*

I did... In the 'number plates' thread... along with other GTP members... In the UK they are called number plates.

EDIT: and you didn't have changeable racing numbers either until there was an update. I got very excited when I saw the thread but was expecting changeable number plates

Before the update I can understand but since then, I don't seem to see any confusion currently.

That seems to have fixed the lack of torque from the max torque setting. It feels VERY VERY good now. I recommend a setting of 8/10 for DFGT users.

Yes, first thing I noticed after the hotfix was that the detail improvements remained, but with an improvement in the weight of the steering. Yesterday, there wasn't that much difference between all four tyres on the ground and steering in the air after a jump. Now, there is a definite feel of weight, so I'm really happy with the FFB now!

:gtpflag:

It was fine for YOU, not everyone else.
It was fine for me, because I was using the wheel correctly for what it is in the first place lol. People using them wrong got upset. It's like asking for an old physics engine back lol. Makes no sense.

I can feel everything more, but it is not overly stiff like previously! I wanted to feel less again! How can you even argue against that? It's baffling. If in have a g27 and the wheel was great before the update AND afterwards...and many other g27 users are were reporting the same...why change it for people who were using their wheels incorrectly? Because seemingly most were? Emm...ok. I never complain about GTs, but that is stupid. Let's go back to the wrong way, because they like it. The same people go off ranting about GT being unrealistic. The best FFb update comes, people have to do more than pick a single number, if it's not ten - because the most is best, of course. It is a step backwards. Back to more arcadish crap. You're better of with some resistance, visuals and the most feedback possible, compared to just visuals and max resistance which deafens feedback. Going through turns...all that happens is the wheel gets stiffer until you lose grip at FFb 10 before update 1.12. And then you'd barely feel bumps...but, the ones that you did feel were big. Only big bumps. No fine detail whatsoever until 1.12. But, again...a lot of people would rather go backwards and have the arcade steering. I had no dead zone in my g27 and you could even feel damper travel. I'm certain. My g27 is not special.

The drivers for each wheel are different. They're obviously GT specific as everyone knows and can't be changed via PC and hooked back into the ps3 with said changes. They should have changed the dfgt and g25. That's it. If you had a problem with a g27, you did explore the settings enough.

Yippee! They finally fixed that awful thugging on my steering wheel. At long last it feels like steering a boat the size of Venus through space... filled with custard.
Honestly PD, get working!

Well that's your opinion, and as someone said a few pages back, it's all down to your preference and to what you're used to, (you might find something "realistic" totally in a different way than me) And it really makes a lot of sense to satisfy everyone and not just the bunch that had their FFB lower than 5 before the update. Also did you ever try drifting? I bet you didn't, wheel spins slow as my grandma on a wheelchair, is that realistic? Let me tell you, it isn't:
That's EXACTLY how it used to be before the patch 1.12, however I do agree on you saying that you can feel way more after 1.12. But still. Not anywhere close of how strong it should be IMO, even after the hotfix that raises the force a little bit. You just shouldn't be able to turn your wheel with one finger at 200 KM/H down a highway.

It's not the fault of GT6. That's the fault of our crap wheel motors that have a low ceiling.

Please do clarify, I'm all ears.
Were there more cars added for that feature in this update?
Perhaps I'm late to the party. Didn't realize you could add numbers to cars that didn't already have them until it was mentioned here about the SLS AMG GT3.

- You cant select course settings until the track is fully loaded.

- Easter Egg: in time rally you can see Hudson with racing numbers, which it should be cant.

Investigating now.

How about they just let us use our game and equipment the way we want instead of the way you have deemed to be the "correct way"? As chzsln485 said...

......and I can't think of any way that could be deemed to be "correct". Pre 1.12 was probably too heavy, post 1.12 was too light, now post ninja it seems they've hit the sweet spot which means everyone should be able to enjoy the FFB exactly how they want it (and not how someone tells them to enjoy it). 👍

Interesting to read some of this thread. I commented yesterday on the news section for 1.12 and proclaimed the ffb was "better than ever". After playing through the Sierra rally I was genuinely shocked by all the uproar about broken ffb. Obviously there were issues that are now "fixed". I don't think we should be arguing about who's doing what with their wheel. Anyhow I love it! Feeling ff cars front tyres scrabbling and bouncing, looking for grip coming out of turns. Very very impressed. I love the way pd just drop it in without any fanfare, in fact no word whatsoever! Crazy guys! Awesome guys!

I'm not sure if this is new or not, but I was able to change my current car while in GT Auto. Is this new? Or am I reeeeallly late to discover this?

If it was done from the start menu then it's been there since launch. (:

It looks that money cap is 600'000'000 after 1.12. Image from GT official webpage

That's the Japanese version in English, so it looks like the cap is 60,000,000 for the rest of us, but I don't think the cap was raised by 10,000,000.

Undocumented Change

When you have aftermarket rims equipped that are already painted. When you go to buy a different aftermarket rim, the wheels equipped are displayed unpainted.
