I think there's a possibility of Club Z or Type R Meeting, or something along the lines of those two being added as part of this month's new GT League events (if there are ones this patch...).

I think there's enough Z cars (FuguZ, 300ZX Z32 and 350Z) and Type R-badge cars (Civic FK2, Integra DC2, NSX NA1) to justify their inclusion, especially since The Passion of Dr. Wankel only has three eligible cars (RX-500, RX-7 FC and FD).

Perhaps the 90s version of Catalunya without the last sector chicane and call it 'short' version?
They should bring the national layout or whatever it is called. It cuts short the first sector of the track to the chicane before the short straight and then follows the old layout, the less sharp left turn after the straight and the two fast right-handers before the start-finish-straight. Also, the last corner is much more interesting that way as you get to it with more speed. I prefer this layout over the current GP layout.

Hey, I'm back.

Also, finally they added the Porsche 356?? YES!

That will be my first purchase of the update, then I'll grind for the rest, I'm also interested in the AM DB3S.

I wonder if they have the latest update running at TAS, especially with them running some special event for the new ESports series too.

The odds on the Supra GT500 concept making it’s way into forthcoming 1.32 update? At latest I’d expect it in the 1.33 update given close PD/Toyota links.

I'd say it's more likely we'll see it as part of a hypothetical February update, though I wouldn't totally rule out a separate update later this month dedicated exclusively to this car.

I'm still wondering which exact version of the 356 A we're going to have, because there's so many of them. Power levels can vary from 40hp to 115hp. We have a smill hint though : the front bumper seems to lack the vertical bumper guards featured on the "regular" versions, which makes it more likely to be be a Carrera version (at least 100hp) BUT it's not 100% sure as Carrera cars can sport those bumper guards. Trims weren't as standardized back then as we're used to now.

At the very least I'd expect them to feature a 1600 Super (75hp), otherwise I think they would just have gone for a pre-A version (maybe even the n°001).

Brands Hatch, Red Bull Ring and Suzuka also have short versions in the game.

Like mentioned above, Fuji comes with a removed chicane version like Le Mans and Monza.

Not that the difference matters but I was referring more to separate courses. I know that Bugatti is debatable because it overlaps with Ciruit de la Sarthe so some wouldn't consider it a completely different track, but it's a unique layout and not just a truncated version of Sarthe. Even something as small at Tsukuba's Circuit 1000 track could be viable for karts and some street cars.

Scanning real locations for make believe tracks is a classic waste of resources from PD. Doing less with more.

I understand your frustration but less isn't more in this case, it's FREE. Polyphony Digital has been paving the way for console based racing games since Playstation X. Kaz Yamauchi is really all about the players and the experience he drives himself to give others is much more involved than "smaller developers" because he truly cares about the racing series he has had a hand in since the beginning. Scanning real world tracks is a great use of resources and current technology. Personally I think GT Sport needs as much tech as it can get being a console game. It's still barely a year old and it's a console game, not a crazy, super-computed racing simulator like iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione which really is an incomplete "game". That is a game that should be scrutinized since you pay $60 or more for one track and two cars...sounds like an iRacing profit scheme but I'm digressing. PS4 consoles are physically limited on graphic ram and processor power after a certain point and PD has already claimed how much of that power GT Sport is taking up. Between the amazing graphics quality and laser scanned cars, only a certain level of physics can be maintained on consoles at a constant and consistent level without major freezes and crashes. When you're 0.135 of a second behind the leader, the last thing you want is sever server lag. I have seen mention on forums by players that PD should do a computer release to really see what the GT Sport series can do but I disagree. Why step into computer simulators when there are already so many and the console player is still looking for that quality of physics? The first to get there on a console will be king of racing sims for a while. If that doesn't excite you, a few upcoming goodies...ray tracing, new tire model, constant improvement of the SR system and every car/track they choose to design and put in game. Nothing has to be paid for until the next Gran Turismo game is released.

I'm excited for the next FREE update. I doubt ray tracing will be in this update but the cars look good and the upcoming tracks are still a mystery with so much room for additions it's not funny. Personally I think that we are getting the Alpine A110 and hopefully the Jaguar XJ13 and not another Porsche...not a fan of Porsche. Wasn't sure about the muscle car silhouette but I agree, I think it's the Shelby GT 350 which would be cool. Please no more Porsche's though, they are way over-powered in current BoP settings. Also really hoping for that Integra!

I mentioned before, it's possible with the FIA Gr.2 Nations race being tomorrow evening.
If it doesn't happen, no big deal. If it does, we all win.

Not really ‘feeling’ these new cars... the Porsche is the only redeeming one out of the list for me.... but only by a little margin.

I am really beginning to miss the crop of current gt and LMP racing cars... the point is ‘racing cars’ here... if I wanted to drive around in old classics I would go to some free roam Xbox game instead...

We need some of the newer racing cars about... the newish racing Ford GT, new racing Corvette etc, new Aston Martin racing gt or Bentley gt... any new exciting racing gt cars and prototypes... let’s hope we get Daytona or a real race track... spa or even Silverstone tracks would be ok for me...

And for them to introduce muticlass racing to GT sport finally.

30 likes for this post! No need for a survey Poly, many of us miss the old GT mode... It wasn't perfect but there was something special: the combination of a cool soundtrack with some nice pics and often cheesy descriptions^^

Lol nostalgic, isn't it? :lol::lol::lol:

I'm watching every Best Motoring video featuring the DC2 Integra just to keep me hyped, and yep I can't understand anything but it's still fascinating.
Personally I would have preferred a Championship White DC5 pre 2005 facelift as I liked the teardrop headlights rather than the older DC2 but I’m still looking forward to it.

I was talking about Tokyo, which is a fantasy track using real roads. I like most of the layouts but it is wasteful. I don't know nor care how passionate anyone at PD is about their job, I am only judging on their output.

I'm thinking it's a Carrera GT. From what I've been researching, I think GT's were the only speedster available with a roll bar from the factory. However, the Carrera GT has more aerodynamic side mirrors built into the front fenders. The car shown in the silhouette lacks those and has the stock chrome ones. So I feel it could also be a Super 1600 or a standard Carrera.

^^ This car above fits the silhouette car. It includes the roll bar, chrome side mirrors, hood straps, and bumpers without overriders.
This car is a Super 1600 and of course has the 75 horse motor.

Fun fact! The roll bars on these cars in any other collision besides a rollover are actually a safety hazard because of how close it is to the back of the driver's head. They're called "mouse traps" or "head crackers" among enthusiasts.
