Update Next Week - October 31

One of the best updates yet. Even with Only 4 cars and spa this update still feel big. The very first update that all cars had been new to the series

That's not actually true. April last year had only the Audi VGT and the Toyota Supra GR Concept (Gr3).

Going off the specs sheet of the Red Pig in Project CARS 2, it should make ~420hp and 3,428 lbs (1,554 kg) straight out of the dealership... couple that with a presumed price tag of about 1 to 2.8 mil (since it costs $4.55 AUD in the PSN Store, about the same as the average Gr.1 car and the GT40) and it should hopefully be the most viable option for Nostalgic 1979 with a bit of extra tuning.

Hopefully, we can add tire stickers to Gr.4 as well as road cars via the livery editor with this update.
That's what I'm hoping.

Nice to see the "red pig" in GTS....but a shame that classic race cars like this one is putted in the Gr.X group instead of making PD new groups...

I got quite some fun with this Merc in pcars 1 & 2,in the second game it was in a class together with a bmw2002 stancework and a ford escort

Will be great to compare the car from Pcars2 with the incoming one on GTS 👍
Same. I plan on replicating the two-tone green livery. Love that one in PC2.

Plus, look like PD got the stance right. No need for wheel spacers. :D

Now, PD, if you would be so kind to model the '71 Lotus Europa, a '71 2002 tii & CSL. Thank you.

It’s going to get a lot of use from me in the 1979 Nostalgia series. Those races are great for grinding credits and a tuned up Merc should be able to win.

I expect it will also be popular in one-make racing online. Mazda MX-5 aside it’s the only other touring car.

Because Spa carries this big update, right?

At last the forum can go back to sanity. :D

I can not believe no one is asking for Twin Ring Montegi. Suzuka is my all time fav in the Land of the Rising Sun however Montegi comes in at a very close second.

Some have asked for Motegi. I can see why it's not the most popular request, but I'd welcome its return with open arms.

Wonder what car will be used for the Spa Circuit Experience next month? :D I think it will be on the dry circuit, but I suppose theres an outside chance of seeing it in the wet (very unlikely though).

Looking forward to the update, although I'm struggling to see anywhere the Taycan could be available in GT League.:(

The "Red Pig" should be available for the Professional Nostalgia races, as others have said.

The Demio should fit in the Hatchback events (if they remember to add it! I'm still waiting for the last Subaru to make it to the Boxer events!). There's a lot of comment on here about the higher torque of the Diesel model, so I'm curious to see how competitive it is (or isn't).

The Aventador will be available all over the place, although if it's like the other Lamborghinis it will probably need a tune to get it handling well.

Also, that's two more cars road cars to be thrown round Tsukuba and Suzuka East for super laps by you know who... :sly: @MidFieldMaven and Nordschleife by
@Yassi99

No direct comparisons for @emula this month though, although could stretch the point on the Demio :D

Taycan could possibly show up in the Premium Sports Lounge given its price.

Unlikely as its electric and GR.X unfortunately.
I’d normally agree, but under the same principle that the Model S and i3 can compete in Sunday Drive events with the same qualifiers, and the only restrictions on PSL are non-race cars (Taycan meets this) and over $100k (which the Taycan will certainly meet), I think the Taycan will be permitted. Otherwise there is no event it is likely eligible for.

It's a bit of a shame that they only ever add more races to existing events nowadays. An Electric Circuits event would've been great for this, the Tesla and i3 (even if it would be dominated entirely by the Taycan).

Hopefully the next time we get a non-VGT electric car added, we’ll see a new Electric Circuits event.

The 365GTB4 should be added to the Professional Lounge event. Still don't see why it takes a whole update cycle, to include such cars.

That might mean the SV won't be available for that event.

It's also bit of a shame that instead of adding new GT League series for underpowered old race cars, they decided to add more Nostalgia 1979 events (the race where you compete with old but uber Le Mans race cars), leaving no chance of cars like Mercedes SEL, TZ2, DB3S, Gordini, etc actually competing.

Thus ends the “When is Spa Coming” conversations. What an awesome update. All new content to the game. SPA with Wet weather selections. Four cool cars. A good mix of old and new, fast and slow, track ready, race ready, everyday drive ready, and environmentally eco friendly. Can’t wait to have a go. I’m most likely going to be testing all my cars on SPA now, Normally it’s Bathurst for me. I’ll still do both but more the new circuit. :gtpflag:

It will be less than 10mil. The PS Store price is $4.55AUD. Cars bought for that price, range from 1mil-2,999,999mil Cr. At 3mil, cars are $7.55AUD.

Edit: You know, the cars are representative of the Halloween spirit.

The Taycan is whisper quiet like a ghost.

The Lambo looks like the great pumpkin.

The AMG is almost a reference to the original Carrie movie. ;)

Meanwhile, the Demio "XD" is that smiling laughing emoji like a smiling laughing clown. For many, clowns are scary.:sly:

Demio reminds me too much of the word "Demon".

There's a bunch a variations across languages: daimonas, demonio, daemon, daimo, demion, demoni, demiona...

But you know what's funny? Demio is derived from Latin ''meus'', which can translated to ''my/mine'' in portuguese or ''mio'', in spanish. It's originally a word to show possession. Not possession from dark powers, but from lovers. So Demio literally means that the car is all yours. Cute!
