USUALLY how would you enter a drift...

A legitimate poll..

Feint most of the time.

However, feint motion can end in either braking or accel on.
For the record, it's Power-Over, and 'Lift Off- Oversteer' is called Accel Off.

I enter drifts sideways. :)

Seriously though, it depends on the corner. I don't have a specific style that I use all the time or even most of the time.

it doesnt matter, in gt just use what suits the corners.. or what suits the situation and what line you want to hit in the corner as well as intensity of the drift

i use a combination of feinting and ebrake. i know you guys are gonna call me a newbie for using the ebrake, but it allows me some CRAAAAAZY angle entrances into corners off of straightaways, if i had a way to make movies you'd see =\

how do i enter drifts? hoping i won't spin out/crash

seriously, like someone already said it depends on the corner, but mostly i feint

i feint drift most of the time, anytight corners, like the U on apricot hill, thats when i ebrake to get sideways b4 the turn, then tap the brake to slow me down and stop the rotation and hit the gas aain to speed out, other times its a brake/accel combo

i never do breaking ore-brake
over-power mostly, faint swaying drifts on the straits and on corner entry, and also my car set up really helps to initiate my drifts

ilove the feeling of bieng able to adjust the drift by the touch of the gas, and control on a knifes edge,

Gotta agree with Mark on this one also.

Depends.......whatever's clever. There are alot of variables....speed of entry, position on the track, drivetrain, tires, corner length.......I don't even know what technique I'm using until I watch the replay 5 times and cross-reference with some drifting guide or other. I can do the techniques, but can't remember their names....to me, it's all drifting.

drift in the biggest turn in midway II? I use an MR2 GT-S and I've perfected the first turn you encounter from the beginning which is pretty big for a beginner (power-over). I've tried e-braking, but I oversteer easily with the MR drivetrain. Braking is horrible to even try (even though for most turns I use it). I'm trying to do a long showy drift in Midway II (the big turn) like the one in the twin drifting vid. How do I approach it?

try changing up your settings, add more power, sims, etc... there are many variables involved when you drift, if you change up some of them, it will work sooner or later =]
