So that's 4 catagories of rally cars.
I wonder if that's it or if there is anymore ?
Perhaps there are two more catagories, last gen WRC cars & the current cars.
I hope so !!

There are at least four more rally categories, since the cars in brackets have been confirmed:
  • The 2000's Era (Mitsubishi Lancer WRC)
  • The 2010's Era (Skoda Fabia R5)
  • R-GT (Porsche 911 GT3)
  • Group B (Lancia 037)
Although the first two and latter two could be merged into the same class since they have similar characteristics.

Probably won't quite be on the level of Dirt in terms of sim but if it feels anything like WRC7 it will still be a good challenge.
If it feels anything like WRC7 I will be very happy. That game, while not as "realistic" as Dirt Rally, was a ton of fun and I think they nailed the physics in that game. Grabbing this when it launches, can't wait.

Absolutely! My thoughts exactly :) 👍👍
I love the physics in WRC7 you can really feel what's going on, you can be properly on it and feel right on the edge of disaster, wicked intense fun.
I'm hoping for a game that feels just the same!

Is this game going to be like or close to gravel that game was ok but it isn’t.

I believe V-Rally is closer in style to DiRT 3 than Gravel, it's primarily an arcade off-road racing game with some realistic qualities. Gravel is further along the arcade side of the spectrum compared to what this aims to be.

As a recent Switcher, I could do with a racing game other than Mario Kart so this will definitely be purchased when it's released.

Still not on the Playstation Store as a "soon to be released game" or even pre-order (at least when I last checked last night), which I find strange considering the announced early September release date just a few weeks away.
If or when anyone sees it become available can you please notify here? Really want to get this, preferably on pre-order for whatever bonus benefits.

EDIT: How you y'all feel this compares or may compare to Dirt 4? Is Dirt 4 good?

A developer interview with some gameplay at Gamescom.

It’s the same video as linked a few posts prior.

Great list, even if it does seem a bit strange to have a list completely devoid of any Subaru models. Hope it is not Toyota's influence.

Is it just me or the modeling is fairly terrible on some of those?

Not expecting Gran Turismo modeling so they look fine to me. I’ll be too busy driving them anyway. Some people take pictures of ‘em, some people drive ‘em.

Some vehicles are not totally accurate, but I wouldn't say it is as offensive as some of Milestone's models.

It's not so much the dimensions as the "cheapness" of some of them. The Delta Evo in the last video looks like a mobile port from the mid 2000s, it just feels like there's very little detailing.

Maybe there will be DLC. Nothing has been mentioned, but that seems to be the norm any more.
