I'm not sure if Andreas (Simba) visits the site quite so regularly so as deputy I'd say...

For the Euro team it's not quite so straight forward since the four cars don't share a similar livery. The Porsche only has two to choose from! The Ferrari has, unusually, a mainly red colour choice. Perhaps just the same livery per type of car would be OK.
The Aston and BMW do actually have some sponsors colours that are the same so if required they could look quite similar.
Thoughts?

@Sick Cylinder I've changed back to light cloud (from hazy) again. On second thoughts I think it'll work better overall.

For the Euro team - I would suggest you will get the best look by going for white BMW's, red Ferrari's and green Astons. e.g.

BMW 25 and 100 (the first 25 - not the red, white and blue one)
Ferrari 51 and 71 (mainly red)
Aston 54 and 55
As IfAndOr says there are only two Porsche options - 91 and 92

I think Team USA are going for:
Corvette: 3, 4, 63 and 64 (mainly yellow)
Ford: 66. 67, 68 and 69 (mainly blue)

We also get no number clashes if we go with the above.

BMW #100 for me please

exactly what I wanted to reply but you were faster ;) :D

Ferrari has #68 which I'll take (it's almost full red).

Now the problem when trying to sort out some interesting weather and time variations for @Sick Cylinder* is that you can't alter them on the fly. You have to try out an idea then exit the race change the settings and start again. And to get a general feel to what the the new pattern is going to do you have to run through most of a 30 minute race! Since I've recently done more laps around Sonoma than healthy to spice it up I thought I might as well try out a race in all of the cars. I could have probably tried most of the liverys too!
*Not a complaint though Sick. I'm quite enjoying it. 👍 Just hope everyone likes them. :nervous:

My impressions.
Corvette - Great soundtrack. Quite throw-able The most fun to drive of the FR cars. I overtook more AI.
Ford - Quite easy to drive. Predictable handling. Narrow window, no sunstrip. Rear spoiler falls off easily!
BMW - Long gear ratios! Safe handling. Have to push it hard to get the most out of it. Bit bland maybe.
Porsche - Let's you know where the engine is. The most fun car to drive when you get in the groove.
Aston - Good quite safe handling. Sounds beefy. Decent gears. Seems quick. British :-)
Ferrari - Really good to drive. Fine handling. Feels fast. Sounds good. Red. (I can see why Jammy preferred it)

Anyway my Sonoma GP suggestion...
The light at Sonoma can be a bit harsh so I've tried to soften it slightly using changing cloud cover and a lower sun. I was going to go for a near sunset time but I thought the sun was too much in your eyes on the initial climbing technical section. So it ended with a earlier start again and the sun breaking over the distant mountains. It also gives a little shade/shadow here and there, which is hard to find at Sonoma.

Sonoma GP
Time - 7am.
Progression - X5.
Season - Spring*.
Weather slots x4: 1) heavycloud 2) medium cloud 3) heavy cloud 4) medium cloud.
Weather progression - sync to race.

*This will automatically change the date to 1/3/18 which works fine.

Again weather and time for qualification is completely independent. The previous (virtual) day during the afternoon would seem fine.

Onto Road America. I'll try for a different time of day there. :)

the first 25 - not the red, white and blue one
Aww, I like that one too. It's red, white and blue. And stars. Proper transatlantic. Go on, pretty please. ;)
Actually the first 3 liverys are BMW team USA cars! Not that European.

Also I don't like the to drive with Interior view. Ferrari had little better Interior view than Corvette.

Yesterday I was practising the second race of the calendar and I had to raise the virtual seat, as with the position where I felt I had a realistic POV, I wasn’t able to see anything for half the track. Sonoma has a few blind, ‘over the crest’ corners.

How you did that (raise the seat)? Is there settings for that?

Tu use that you should map seat forward/backward and up/down buttons

You can even map the angle. It’s very useful and the game saves automatically your settings for every car.

For me, that’s the first thing I do when I start driving a car for the first time. Find a position where I feel I have the most realistic POV.

It's as the others say, you have to assign some buttons to enable you to move the seat/view position. The trouble is that there are only a limited number of buttons on a wheel. So the best thing to do is plug in a usb keyboard which will give you lots more available buttons to map to. It doesn't have to be a full keyboard, a numeric keypad will still have enough extra buttons.

I have one of these attached. I've mapped the seat movement to the thumb operated switch.
I can even adjust the force feedback on the fly.

(It's from my old PC shooter days :))

Like yesterday, tomorrow's race will have a rolling start
Yes indeed. It caught a few out I suspect. Indy has a slightly odd start position too.

Thanks for tips! I have full keyboard connectted so I have few buttons to available. I have test this tonight :)

I have never moved my seat just keep it like it is.:)

Same here John! - I'm not a Tech Wizard like @IfAndOr but I think I would like to try it!

Also now that we are running with "Performance Impacting Damage" and one compulsory pit stop, is there an app that would tell me who is behind me on the track? Yesterday everyone showed as red because I lost a lap in the pits at the start of the race and it was very confusing. I was trying to unlap myself, but (hopefully) without getting in the way of the race leaders.

I just plug a keyboard a few seconds (which I have the assigned seat movements button saved previously in game), reach a position I like and unplug the keyboard.

I don’t know if this would be useful, but my rule of thumb is to align roughly my wheel with the virtual one. This way I pretty much have the same position as a driver in the car. With the right POV angle, it gives you a nice, real feeling of being inside the car and also helps you judging apex distance and provides general speed awareness.

By the way, I choose number 63 for the ‘Vette.

@Sick Cylinder
Nothing to Tech Wizardry, you just need something simple like THIS or similar. For a couple of quid more there are wireless versions which I presume would also work.
I've got all sorts mapped to mine. Seat movement, ffb adjustments, wipers, pit limiter, ignition etc. I've even got buttons to select first and reverse quickly after a spin.
The problem as you get older is remembering which button does what. Or that you've got a keypad. :boggled:

It sounds like you need to add the relative times display to your HUD. You probably know how to do it but just in case.
Press pause while in car and select options then change HUD. Click on the relative time box (it'll be there somewhere) and press triangle to enable it. Position it to your liking by clicking and dragging. Then importantly don't forget to click on save.

Get or make this and memory problem is solved

Yeah that would do it. I'd probably forget where I'd put the stickers through. :p

I'll have to have a think about what I could use. I might have some suitable sticky labels.
