Hoping to catch up with some of you at Brands Hatch in 2019 - planning to go to the Masters Historic Festival and the Legends of Brands Superprix again plus a few smaller historic events (maybe AMOC and 750 Motor Club).

We will be starting 2019 with a three round mini-series for the Ferrari F355 (own choice of race number): Mugello, Oschersleben and Algarve.

On Monday's we will doing a three round mini-series using point to point tracks - hope you can join us!

The specs say single plate clutch, but does anyone know if the F355 had a dogbox or something like it? Because in game, you can shift without the clutch (maybe it's just an unrealistic feature).

Sounds horrendous though, and downright painful if you flat shift as well

I have too much mechanical sympathy for even a non existent engine to put it through that trauma

Indeed, if you close the throttle. If you don't, the game gives you a "penalty" gear miss effect of about 1 or 2 seconds, then automatically puts the car into gear again. In the F355, you needn't even lift the throttle.

Lot's (and lots) of interesting information here about the Pcars Ferrari 355

It does say "later cars could run the F1 sequential" so perhaps they are trying to replicate that.

It also says that it was a stipulation that evey driver should actually own a F355! So that might count me out for Wednesday. I might have to look in the piggy bank.
