Argh! Just taken a big swig of pepper & sweat potato soup which the sandwich shop had clearly been using to cool spent nuclear fuel rods. It was boiling and now the inside of my mouth is peeling off. Nice.

Going to eat New England clam chowder and hand-battered cod in a bit.

Just had a gurt lump o' chedder cheese, and not long after brushed my teeth.
DEFINITELY not the nicest tastes I've ever experienced.

MMmmmmm..... That would have helped my bench today, and probably my squats tomorrow. :D

I for one am sipping on a young vintage casein protein shake before I hit the hay. Yes it's true, in Montana it is quite possible that I am actually sleeping on hay, but in this case, I am not and am only using it as a figure of speech.

Been on a fruit and veggies only diet this week, trying to eat mostly raw. So far today it's been blueberries, bananas, snap peas, coffee, water, orange juice, and a couscous dish the lady whipped up for dinner.

This was my lunch yesterday.

I rummaged through my draw and found enough change for a McD's since I don't have my card to use. Spicy chicken wings yet again.

My word, I wonder how many calories are on that plate?

Enough so I wont need to eat anything for the next 14 hours, or so. Until then the only things I plan to put in my mouth are Altoids and my favorite stogie.

Spinach is very high in important vitamins and minerals. However, it's also very high in fiber which can have negative effects during your squating. :yuck:

:)

@Solid Lifters: Any chance of the 'before' shot? ;)

Is this a short-term detox drive or purely a health/weight thing?

I see. I had a two week detox and then permanently changed my diet to a reduced carb diet. It works really well and I haven't found it a problem at all. I still drink the odd beer and wine but just avoid the starchy carbs like potatoes, pasta, bread, rice, etc. Lost over a stone and kept it off. It was all well documented here if it's any help.

You're brave to go for a veg-only diet, not sure I could do that. Your idea or the missus? :sly:

Well, she's been a veggie for like 10 years and was when I met her, so that changed some things. :sly: But I actually dig the healthy food as well, and she makes some killer dishes too, so it works out. I've recently cut way back on my sugar just by drinking my coffee black, and I quickly lost a few pounds, but I have noticed that the carbs really do make a difference like you say.

I went out to the local upmarket supermarket, for wealthy types, to get some grub. I settled on a pair of doughnuts which looked tasty. When I get them back from the office I realised they must be a week old because they're tougher than a 3310! Almost.

Ring or jam? It's important.

Iced ring with walnuts. Not satisfactory at all. In future I'll grab a jam, but I can't read the label and sometimes it turns out to be Boston Cream which I don't like.
