I went into town for a Pizza Hut (my favourite) and it was too early; the place wasn't yet open. I doubled back a few hundred meters and settled on a Big Breakfast at McDonald's. Meh, not quite the pizzary goodness I was hoping for but food none the less.

Ate more low fat curd cheese for dinner yesterday. But I couldn't get that stuff down anymore without doing something about the taste, so I added a small amount of salami to it. Tasted awful still, but less awful than usual.

Started today with a big helping of... Nothing. Well, that and plain water.

And by the way, no matter how it looks or how disgusting the thought of eating raw fish might be: I can only recommend sushi. It's grea, great stuff. Nigiri maguro (raw tuna on a small ball of rice) would be my absolute favourite. It's probably some of the most delicious food I've had so far.

God damnit, I suddenly have the irrestiable urge to visit a sushi restaurant...

Now that look good

All the talk about sushi and now I'm craving some. Clytius is it topped with fish eggs? I had some sushi earlier today while playing cards with my grandma, I love the expression my grandma makes, she doesn't like sushi......

oh sorry, back on topic - I'm about to eat some tuna, and diet coke.

Lots of chicken and lots of chips. The chicken batter is made with curry powder so it's extra tasty!

Just had a bit of low fat yogurt. Tastes even worse than the low fat curd cheese I've been eating. Yuk. My collegues are trying to get me to eat the Turkish kebab shop. Dunno... I could use a bit of meat, really

Coffee and a mini ice cream sandwich. It's the true definition of what you would consider mini. It's literally like 3inches lol.

👍

Well, I gotta agree that it looks far more delicious than the stuff Clytius posted ;)

I have to concur on that; in no way does that picture do justice to the real thing. Sushi/Sashimi is my favourite all-time food (if it is my last meal, that is what I would pick) and fortunately for me I am surrounded by sushi bars.
One must remember though that the word 'sushi' actually refers to the vinegared rice. Put some other stuff like fish or crab or roe and wrap it in seaweed and then it's actually nigri sushi or as commonly asked for at the bar: maki sushi. I prefer sashimi myself, so when I order I make sure I have a combo.

However - I cannot avoid apeing our cousins, the chimps, sometimes:

So, dates, blueberries, strawberries, banana, mango and grapes with a dish of vanilla yogurt sprinkled with dried fruit, seeds, and nuts.
Whilst all the while I am tempted by a flyer on the table that touts junk-food shrimp.

Haha, yeah, the fact that there are different types of sushi is unknown to a lot of people  Everytime I'm going to a sushi bar (there's only one that's decent around where I live), they are entirely dumbstruck by the fact that ordering "sushi" will get you nothing but strange looks :D

All that sushi talks makes me want to go visit that place, though. Too bad that it's quite expensive. I guess I'll have to ask some folks out and travel to the nearest all you can eat sushi bar... Half an hour by train and 25 bucks per person, but I suppose thhat they'd be on the losing in end, in terms of money

Is you japanese because sushi been your favorite food is Japanese stuff

Actually I'm not really sure what I am - nationally 'Canadian' with a great love for my country, its beauty, its people, and our 'ways'. I do adore Japan, though, and the many, many good things that come out of it that are decidely not 'Canadian' - everything from the cars, cameras, and cherry blossom to their fanatically deep sense of Honour.
When it comes to food, though, (apart from the odd fruit like Durian, and stuff like fried worms) I'm very, very omnivorous. But you can rarely eat healthier than visiting a sushi bar. (Avoid the tempura ;) , or at least don't gorge too much on it.) Sashimi is the best - but most certainly an acquired taste - unless born and/or lived long-term in Japan.

I agree, by the way. Sashimi is great, especially maguro (I suppose you guessed as much ). It's just that I absolutely can't quell my hunger with sashimi as easily

But, yeah, some countries do have strange dishes that one really has to "get into". A lot of people can't stand the thought of eating Mett - a German dish consisting of raw, ground beef, usually served on slices of bread or breadrolls, seasoned with salt and pepper, and sometimes with raw onion slices, too. Tastes great once you've gotten used to it, though - and, of course, if it's absolutely fresh.

It's on the opposite end on the "Healthy Food Scale" compared to sushi and sashimi, though

Next to lobster, sushi is my favorite food. There is a sushi buffet out on one of the major roads near my area. Best sushi I've ever had.

I just had a salad for dinner that consisted of lettuce, onions, pepperonis, banana peppers, pickles, cheese, and Caesar dressing. I think I will finish the night with some Glenmorangie.

I had something similar for lunch. Romaine and ice berg lettuce, red cabage and sliced carrots, with pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and guacamole ranch dressing.

I just looked in the fridge and threw whatever required the least amount of work to put on a plate. It ended up being pretty good.

Went into town and picked up some nuggets, large fries, chicken wrap, box of spicy wings and a Coke for lunch.
