Late supper, again. The boys got back from practice, late. Had leftover tater tots and made tater tot chili cheese bowls. Fill the bottom of a microwaveable bowl with tater tots. Add cheese, a squirt of ketchup, mustard and pour on some heated chili. Add another slice a cheese on top, heat for another minute in the microwave and then serve. Not a healthy dinner, but it's what the kids wanted and it's cold plus they swam like mad at practice.

Just thought I'd ask since I have always wondered. What are tater tots? I hear about them all the time and have never asked.

They are yummy.:)

Basically ground up potatoes put together in a cylindrical shape.

I had an early Thanksgiving dinner with my housemates tonight. We made turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green salad, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, apple pie, Jefferson Davis pie, and had non-alcoholic sparkling cider, beer and wine.

I'm completely stuffed.

Tater tots are gross. A potato abomination.

The kids love them so I've got no choice. Actually, I do like them. Potato patties, too. Especially with breakfast.

I like cheesy potatoes, whipped potatoes or Lyonnaise potatoes the most. Baked potato from time-to-time but only if I make it.

Had some leftover fettuccine so I made some chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo for dinner.

I made my first cake yesterday afternoon... a lemon drizzle cake...

It turned out pretty well... very tasty, although there is a shocking amount of sugar in it  Will probably make another one for my family for next weekend, and so all I have to do now is finish off this trial version...

I'm going to stop eating. It's a waste of time and it's only making me fat.:grumpy:

You can't do that! kikieee . . . you can't quit your addiction to food. Withdrawals are death!

Okay - then - if you must be that way - goodbye my friend, good bye . . .:ouch:

Candy.

And also candy.

Washed down with chocolate milk.

And candy.

Stupid halloween.

Leftovers or raiding the kids loot? (It's fun doin that, ain't it?) :sly:

Yes and yes. :D

Guys - I was totally shafted this year. Factor 1 - my home is well-stocked with candy at any given time (having a bro-in-law connected to a very, very, very large candy manufacturer.) Factor 2 - my kids have got to that age where they don't physically move unless they absolutely have to. Walking around the streets begging for candy seems to have totally lost the novelty. Dressing up as Master Chief, and Darth Vader has also gone by the wayside.
Rather the laptop and a sundae at DQ.
:grumpy:
This means I had no loot to raid this year. For the first time in maybe 25 years I had no kids bring back pillow cases or shopping bags full of varied candies, surprises abounding at every twist and turn as I discovered some treasure and growled "Mine! That's mine! You know all Green Apple is mine. Grrrr."
"Why aren't you guys going trick or treating this year?" I asked my teens.
"Oh! Dad, that's so boring. You're already eating too much chocolate anyway."

They know how to make me avoid an argument; I don't like discussing my caches of chocolate.

TM - That lemon cake looks like to die for. ;)

Nicely done. Looks good!

I'm sick of lemon cake, personaly. Grew up in lemon groves as a kid and my mom made lemon cake and cupcakes, lemon icing, lemon bars, lemon tarts, lemon cookies, lemon yougurt, lemon pudding, lemon aid, lemon meringue pie, lemon poppy seed muffins, etc. The only lemon dessert I like is lemon bars. The rest is, "No thank you."

Had a hard salami sandwich for brunch.

I'll have to wait a few hours, so for now I'm just eating a quick bowl of oatmeal. My grandma and my mom will make Chicharron and Pupusas for dinner. A mix of Mexican and Salvadorean food!! Taste really good!!

 I almost took it to work today to share with my workmates, but I reckon I'll make a fresh one and take one in that is not already half eaten

 That's pretty understandable....

Potato Gems in a hotdog roll.
A new twist on the classic chip butty? That picture has actually made me want one myself!
