Remind me to stock up on those when I go to America. We've only got Original and Chocolate here

No mint? How about the giant size Oreo 'snack cakes?' They have a peanut butter creme, one.

Looks like you have more than just strawberry milkshake to purchase. I have yet to see these myself. I'll look out for them, though. 👍

Just got back from the store. I found this and couldn't pass it up. It's not bad. Way, way too sweet for me, though. The boys will love it.

Came home from the final exam and had pizza with a Gin Daisy (pictured below) and dessert is some hot Sano Grog since it's freezing (Florida-freezing) cold outside.

I tell you what, best book I ever bought has been Dave Wondrich's Killer Cocktails and Imbibe. Everything I've made so far from those books has been absolutely delicious. The hot drinks are especially great, especially now for the holidays.

Peanut Butter?
That's what I hate about a tiny country in the middle on nowhere. We get nothing from other countries. Although we still have the original Coke Bottles :D

Well, this thread has been kind of slow. On this fine Christmas evening (for Americans, it's Stuff-Your-Face Round 2), what has everyone had to eat?

Went hunting but didn't roast any caught beast. They needed to age a little before cooking. So, I had no meat. I'm the kind of guy who would rather eat no meat if he didn't kill it himself.

So, I had two baked potatoes, cooked the SL way which is the ONLY way IMO, and green beans, cornbread muffins, deviled eggs and cranberry mold. Desert was homemade Christmas cookies and egg nog.

Might have a glass of premium bourbon later tonight, I don't know. Basil Hayden's, naturally.

Traditional ham dinner over hear, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, rolls, and a lot of cookies.

Except I just had ham, eggs and corn. Not that hungry today.

Mom's Cheesy Potatoes and some Brats.. with some Caffeine Free Coke. :sly:

I've just eaten some sausage.

...it's a good thing this was a few hours after I'd had my GT5 session for the day, otherwise I would have replied "Grass."

Ooooh, that reminds me. I need to buy some Plymouth Gin then. I didn't know America got them too. Stocked everywhere, or is it limited to certain places?

Pretty much everywhere. It's not for everything though. Only in drinks where Gin is the skeleton of it and not the lone star. For the latter, in drinks like Gin and Tonic or just neat, I prefer Tanqueray. Much cheaper too.

Speaking of drinks, my girlfriend and my sister were drinking this the other day at her home:

Ice.

Although it's a pretty soft drink it tasted really good.

I'm eating leftover food from Christmas myself. I know that I never posted my Christmas meal, but I had (am having?) roast beef, mash potatoes, baked vegetables and cream corn.

Whatever happened to the meat that you hunted a few days ago? And I thought you won't eat meat that you didn't kill yourself, unless you also have some cows in your backyard?

OK Mr. Smartass, maybe I do have some cows in my backyard! Maybe I'm a farmer!?

No, I'm not.

Actually, I can eat all the cow I want, since it's not a game animal. But, I'd rather eat caribu or buffalo, but it's getting harder for me to hunt those. Ducks and geese are much easier for me to hunt.

And I didn't mean to suggest I can't eat meat at all that I haven't killed, just after I've been hunting and for Christmas dinner. I've only ate meat that I've killed for every Christmas, except one, I think. Since the ducks (no goose this year) were a bit sickly looking, I decided to age them a bit a see. It could be lead poisoning from a-holes using lead shot for duck hunting. Morons.

I had a burger tonight for dinner, too. Homemade from ground sirloin. Not fatty enough, about 6%, and the burger was too dry. But, it was OK. Piled a ton a veggies on it, too. Onion, tomato, green peppers, pickles, lettuce and a homemade carrot relish that has carrots, red cabbage, olives, onions, garlic, red peppers, yellow hot peppers and bunch of spices.
