About 1.5hrs ago, I tried my largest dose of THC so far (10mgs) by taking two of my 5mg gummies. I don't think I have a placebo effect...

First attempt at a fish gratin...

Definitely a success - albeit a bit more liquidy that I wanted it, but it was creamy and very tasty.

I cooked it for an hour under foil without the cheese topping, then added the cheese and cooked it for another 30 mins with the foil lid off to brown the cheese... the cheese was a layer of Jarlsberg slices with grated mature cheddar on top; very decadent, but it worked nicely.

I'm glad I added some spinach into the layers as it really added to the dish, and the fish (basically just fish pie mix - smoked haddock, salmon and white fish chunks) were really good. Considering the amount of cream, butter and cheese in the dish, it looked and felt very healthy, and my Mum enjoyed it too.

There's also enough left over to use as a side for dinner tomorrow, so I'll have salmon fillets with this on the side.

I just got done eating breakfast. My mom is sleeping so I went in the kitchen and ate a quick mini meal.

3 pancakes, 1 plain bagel, some tater tots and 1 waffle. I woke up at 6:31am.

Did a cleaning out the freezer/fridge special the other day. Had enough ingredients to make Ga Pow Goong (stir fried spicy shrimp with Thai basil).

Felt kinda fancy again, so I plated it up the same as my Ga Pow Moo.

Looks good, however I'm not a shrimp fan.

Another breakfast burrito. This time I used a tomato, onion, garlic and spinach ragu which I cooked down for 20 minutes with a little olive oil and butter after roasting them. I boiled and roasted some small yellow potatoes, then added breakfast sausage, 3 eggs and cheddar cheese.

Apart from a snack today, this is pretty much all I’m having.

Despite eating healthily and cooking good, nutritious food regularly, I've also been eating a fair amount of 'goodies' - albeit in moderation, and on the understanding that I'm allowed food that helps me to not lose weight. However, it's only when I put it in writing that I realised just how many 'favourites' I really have, and here's a list of stuff that's currently on my list of treats:

  • Cadbury's Twirl Chocolate Orange edition - Twirls have always been near the top of my list of favourites, but the chocolate orange version is almost criminally good. I normally share one over coffee with my Mum so I only feel 50% guilty about these 😅
  • Cadbury's Whole Nut - our staple treat for mid-afternoon coffee during the pandemic, a 'row' (4 squares) each of Whole Nut was a daily midweek treat; not had much recently though.
  • Nutella - normally have a slice of toast with breakfast, and Nutella is the stuff for this job. Ferrero Rocher are my Mum's favourite, but she keeps these under very tight surveillance.
  • Bassett's Jelly Babies - these are pure danger; I'm pretty sure the white powder they are coated with is not sugar but cocaine; they are so addictive it's almost not funny. Has to be Bassett's though - even Haribo is no substitute for the originals.
  • Skittles - I've loved Skittles since they first came out in the UK, and often have a pack of these open in the cupboard.
  • Haribo Happy Cola Bottles - another danger pack, these are so more-ish that I keep them in a bag in my sock drawer so I can only have one or two at a time, and then move out of the room so I can't have any more without making a special trip.
