I used the leftover soup and added some broiled chicken thigh to it. I added a bit of honey, brown sugar and cayenne pepper and mixed the chicken in a bowl before cooking it.

Haven't had a taste for beer in a while but decided to tap into my Czech ancestry with a Lev Gold Lion pale double bock. It's...nice?

In Mexico we know them as "milanesas". What is the connection with Milan, Italy? who knows. Do you put jam and lime juice on it?
Yes, it's probably the same thing just with a different name. Milan is an interesting choice though, I wouldn't have associated this type of food with Italian cuisine.
I’ve never had a Wiener schnitzel, never mind veal alone. Looks delicious. I’ll add it to my things I want to try.
I definitely recommend it. But make sure you eat it at a proper restaurant because there are unfortunately a lot of subpar places out there that offer Wiener Schnitzel that has nothing in common with the real thing besides the name.
Very nice. That looks like a fancy meal to me. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks, I did!

A few things from the yesterday.

This breakfast burrito was a pain to wrap, but I made it happen. The shell was dried out, so I had to rehydrate it. There’s another half so I may have it for breakfast this morning.

This was a pain suisse, which had a white chocolate sesame filling. I had that while watching a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter take off in heavy wind. Super good.

I made a lemon drizzle cake and had a slice of it with coffee with my Mum and sister today, which happens to be Mother's Day here in the UK.

It was good, but not absolutely amazing. I put icing sugar on it because the top of the cake wasn't flat and didn't have the lemon icing layer that the recipe said would form as the cake cooled down - I think I overfilled the tin a bit, hence it rose a bit too much to keep the top of the cake flat.
