At least it's M&S and looks semi-decent.
It was more than semi-decent, as far as I'm concerned.
But it's always handy having stuff in the freezer you can just chuck in the oven, so I always used to have a Tesco Finest lasagne in the freezer too, but it is not a patch on my homemade lasagne!
It's great if you've developed cooking skills and is almost certainly better for you in the long run. The trouble for me with the "we have X at home" approach is that it's unlikely that I have the ingredients for X at home of similar quality and I've never had the opportunity to experience home cooked food which is superior to the best ready-made food for me.

This approach almost certainly hurts my wallet, but I don't really feel like I'm missing out as eating is one of the few pleasures I have in life and I'd rather not waste it on an experience I'd find sub-optimal if I can help it. It takes diff'rent strokes to move the world and I'm sure that if I could chef like @phillgt2002, I'd hold the opposite opinion too.
Yeah, so yesterday I posted that I was going shopping “in a few minutes.” Still here. And for the same reason. This game. This [censored] game.
My advice would be to try doing the Goliath Road Rivals in an S1-class car or above. When you crash into that kink in one of the Nangan district tunnels at the end of a long straight after 25 minutes or so you'll want to throw your controller down and go out to touch grass and clear your head and can also pick up some groceries at the same time.

Efficient! I love it.

This was a pretty simple meal. I marinated some chicken in a bunch of peppers. Habaneros, jalapeño, Anaheim, sweet peppers, seasonings, etc. then turned that marinade into a thick cheesy rice soup using a Mexican blend and a slice of American to give it some creaminess, finished it by adding some spinach.

@UKMikey that’s all true. I kind of spiraled for a while eating junk and takeout often in between meals, but I feel I’m in a better place. This thread actually helped me stay motivated to continue cooking for myself at times.

Years back when Solid Lifters and FoolKiller were still with us they taught me a ton and put me on to some good stuff and ideas.

It comes and goes.

I made beef fajitas for dinner - I have perfected my beef cooking, such that I prepared everything else in advance, and cook the beef on a very high heat for just 60s each side, and then take it off the heat, let it rest for a minute, and serve it up. It was delicious, but I screwed up with the wraps a bit, but otherwise it was very tasty.

I fried up some green, red and yellow peppers with onions, and made the fajita with hot salsa, chopped lettuce (on my Mum's, but not mine!), sour cream and mature cheddar. I added some Chohula hot sauce on top of mine, and it was really good. I also had some nachos with melted mature cheddar as a side.
