@Touring Mars how did it turn out? Looks fantastic.

My before bed food, before the dietician I never ate before bed but on their recommendation to help keep topped up so the body doesn’t decided to eat itself while asleep I’m now eating.

A soup cup with 1 banana, organic full fat yogurt topped with bee pollen for those essential vitamins and minerals and some pure maple syrup.

Wife has been having the same apart from bee pollen as she’s allergic and the last thing we need is a severe allergic reaction at this time of night.

The sardine fillets were good and will have them again, though will just pan fry them next time. The BBQ was fun and did add some nice flavour, but it was a lot more work and too wasteful for just cooking these - will definitely chick more on another BBQ if I'm cooking other stuff too though. I think the sardine fillets themselves are quite plain flavourwise and needed a marinade which didn't really work with the BBQ (as they had to be slathered in oil to avoid burning/sticking), so might try mackerel next time.

Interesting to read that you are eating before bedtime - I grew up eating a bowl of breakfast cereal for supper, but typically don't eat close to bedtime any more (I used to get quite bad indigestion), but perhaps I should be having a light supper as well; My Mum and I do tend to have a snack (crisps, or in my case, peanuts) about 9ish, but a healthier option would likely not go amiss.

Double check with your Dr about bedtime food, especially if you’ve been prone to heartburn.

Here are some of the info bits from my own dietician.
