Well, I just made cheeseburgers for the first time! I used my George Foreman grill, and they are damn tasty if I do say so myself. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder with a slice of American cheese on top with mayo and mustard. Too bad I had to use sandwich bread instead of buns. It's was still really good though.

Anyone have any burger making recipes or tips? Solid Lifters? :D

When you form the patties, use a tiny bit of soy sauce and some minced onion. It works nicely. try some swiss, and use toasted sourdough buns. Mmm... :)

The whole thing. Not half bad, although not really "pizza" in the traditional sence.

(Not the whole box, just one or two or three pieces.) See's Candies are awesome, I get them as gifts from the in-laws, since they're not for sale in this part of the country.

Anything that proclaims itself as "A Happy Habit" is bound to be addictive.

I love chocolate,but when I start I can't stop.
I'm eating four donuts that I bought this afternoon.

Well, bugger for you – there are eleven See’s Candies stores within a 25-mile radius of here. :D (Including one that’s a couple miles down the street from here.) There are few things better in the world than See’s Chocolate Chip Truffles.

Did you ever tasted Belgian chocolate, one of the best in the world.;)

Kikkoman instant Tofu Miso soup. I put a teaspoon of soy sauce in it to give it a little more body.

Well, I just finished a warm/hot cup of hot cocoa. Drinking it after one hour after shoveling snow doesn't do much for one psychologically, however.

I was told to take it easy. No cooking for a few weeks. Cooking makes me feel easy, I guess. I couldn't resist.

Tonight, I started off with BBQuing two green bell peppers and twelve jalapeños. I put them in a bowl with a plastic wrap cover. (To let them sweat so the skin comes off easy.)

Next, I BBQued the boneless chicken breasts. I didn't brine them before hand, to save on the salt and sugar, which I don't really need at this moment. Not as juicy, but still damn good.

Next, pulled the chicken off the BBQ and diced them up and then went inside to make my favorite dip/spread. I peeled the burnt skin off the peppers and put them in a mixing bowl with two avocados, some lime juice, salt and pepper. I just realized I forgot to use garlic and onion powder. Oops. Mixed them up until liquid smooth.

Finally, I put some tortillas on the BBQ grill and pilled on the chicken to one side of each tortilla. On top of that a pile of Tillamook shredded cheddar cheese. After a while, I folded them over. BBQued them until cheese oozed out the side and were crisp to the touch.

They were presented with the dip/spread, cut into three pizza-shaped wedges for easy eating. Life is good. :)

Doctor's Orders, Schmoctor's Schmorders!

It's quite fun to say out loud! Try it!

How hot is that? All the salsa we have around here is pansy. I'm not looking to grow hair in unnatural places, or conversely burn it off if I spill a little on my leg, but more heat than what they usually have stocked would be nice...

Now I want chips and dip but my wife is at work and the kids are sleeping. I guess I'll have to wait. Thanks a lot, Smallhorses. :grumpy:

:p

Edit: We had Potstickers for supper.

Just ate 3 fried eggs with 8 slices of sausage, a bowl of leftover curry, assorted yogurt, and a glass of milk. I am glad I took the time to prepare such a breakfast.

*tries: Doctor's Orders, Shmoctor's Schmorders* You are quite right.

Good God! Curry+Yogurt+Milk= Massive intestinal nastiness. If your stomach is not in extreme pain or are about as flatulent as a cow, tell me.

It's really nicely hot. 👍 Not insanity level or anything silly though. :scared:
Not terribly chunky for a salsa, but I'd certainly recommend trying some if you can find the "Mrs. Renfro's" where you are. 👍

Oh, and sorry for giving you the craving. :guilty:

I tried some of this recently:

hoping that the "Volcano" and "Hot" on the label were even remotely accurate. Talk about a big old pile of false advertising.

As for the " Not terribly chunky for a salsa," I'm not a fan of chunky salsa. I've been known to put salsa into the food processor and blend the crap out of it. Sacrilege? You decide. :p

No worries. If it wasn't that it would have been something else and as I didn't have any chips in the house, I didn't have the before bed snack.

Besides the homemade cookies and cream ice cream with my kids. :D

I'll keep my eyes open for it, but I think that'll be a futile search...

double decker sandwich with each layer having two pieces of bologna, a piece of cheese, and a slice of turkey breast. With whole milk. Oh and promptly eating Hot Cheetos.

Just finished a 4 scoop Optimum Nutrition protein shake stacked with 3 scoops of Muscle Tech's anabolic halo.

MMMmmmm......., yummy! :)

Fillet mignon with mojo potatoes and broccoli with cheese, and fresh strawberries for desert.

Lunch was a roasted turkey sandwich with jalapeño-avocado dip/spread.

Dinner was chorizo with beef burger patties and chili potato hash.

In an attempt to eat healthier I made some vegetarian Cajun-style jambalaya last night and I'm eating the left overs of it. I am really happy with the way it turned out. It's unbelievably spicy which is just the way I like it.

I wish I could eat chorizo. I love the way it tastes, but it tears my stomach up. :indiff:

Depends on the type you pick up, there's hundreds of different ones to choose from.

I'm currently drinking beer, will eat later.

Just made a quick pita pizza: toasted w/ bbq sauce, sauteed onions, tomato, and red pepper, and topped with shredded romain (would've used arugula if I had some), goat cheese, and parmigian.

Now I'm just popping some peanut M&Ms for dessert.

Turkey burgers with cheese! That and the salad we always have which consists of celery, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, onions, olives and for my salad I have ranch with it. A yummy dinner in this household. ;)

Had a steak burger around 10:30. I basically just cut up some leftover steak, put it on a bun, and add cheese.... It was goooood.

Also a can of sprite.
