My wife make cookies again.

cookieoik.jpg

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies, this time. Unfortunately she bought the wrong size jar of PB (28 ounce in stead of 18 ounce) so she had to make a batch and a half.

'Tis a shame, it is. :D

Y'know, I've never ever had a Big Mac. I think I need to get one next time I'm at the golden arches.

You're not missing anything. If given a choice, I stay away from McD's completely.

Wow, it's the one item I like at Mc D's. The regular cheese burger is OK, too if I have a homemade strawberry shake with it.

Speaking in similar, I just had a Carl's Jr Big Carl, which is a pathetic attempt to copy the Big Mac. It had no onions or pickles, which makes no sense to compare it to the Big Mac.

McDonald's is horrible, I worked there for a year 2 years ago and haven't been to one since.

It's ok though if you like food that has been out all day. This includes, Lettuce, pickles, cheese, bacon, tomatoes and onions(little square ones are dehydrated onions) all in the open.

I don't like the Big Mac that much either. I prefer their cheeseburgers (regular, double, McDouble). The pickles seem to add a lot to the taste.

Sunday night went to Jeong Won Korean BBQ – all-you-can-eat for 20 bucks! I ate quite a few plates’ worth of meat over the 3 hours that we were there (I felt bad because by the third hour I was the only one still eating…). Yummy kalbi and bulgogi (a little too much fat in the kalbi, but what do you expect for that price?).

(Actual picture from the night – I’m the one in blue looking drunk because I wasn’t expecting the camera or its amazing flash.)

Monday night went to Studio Diner, again, and got their fish and chips, again. Not quite as good as the last time I was there, but still good. I was still hungry afterwards and so I finished off someone else’s pancakes and someone else’s fries and cole slaw. I’ve been really hungry lately for some reason.

For fish and chips that's not alot of chips

Those fish n chips look like they fried Salad Fingers's hands.

Just went to Lolita’s for carne asada fries. If you want to prove to an atheist that there is a God…

That looks amazing.

Just finished: Big mac, medium fry, medium drink. God it was amazing

I agree 100% with TB. If I absoultely have to eat at McDonalds...

...the only thing I will eat is their double cheeseburgers or their breakfast burritos. The rest of their food is disgusting to me.

Speaking of burgers, I went to Five Guys the other day. It's too bad they don't have any kind of combo deal or something, but that place is great. That's what a burger-and-fries joint should be.

I tried Five Guys, once. While it was pretty good, I wasn't that impressed. I'll give it another try again soon though. The place is very popular. My current fave is this from a restaurant called Claim Jumper:

Widow Maker Burger
Applewood smoked bacon, sweet onion rings, avocado, double-thick Tillamook
cheddar, tomato, mayo and red relish 10.95

I just went for little snack from the Carl's Jr. Chili Cheese Fries + Big Hamburger. "Big" is not really a big. It's a value burger, and it is big for that. Washed them down with Coke, really hit the spot. :)

Got some Indian tonight with one of my aunt's students. Tandoori chicken. We got Gulab Jamon for dessert and I shared my balls with her.

Just had a piece of birthday cake. Rich, super-sweet, coconut birthday cake with the most vibrant colors of the Italian flag. It's my Italian father-in-law's 75th birthday. One piece and I feel so sick. It was really that rich and heavy. :yuck:

That nasi thing look delicious, Solid. Look like pilaf?

Not how I make it. I guess I need to take an actual pic of the Nasi I make. It has no peas.

Nasi is like Chinese (American) fried rice, but with Indonesian spices that really kick up the flavor a few hundred notches. Chicken or shrimp is the preferred meat. I use a mix of Indonesian spices along with fried egg and onion. All you do is add rice, Ketjap Manis, Sambal Oelek and fry it up for 15-20 minutes. Serve with grilled piece of ham, fried egg sunny side up and pinda (peanut) sauce. I also add a big piece of shrimp cracker known as kroepoek. Pure heaven.

I made both Nasi (rice) and Bami (noodles). Good I had both, 'cause some folks complained the rice was too hot. The wusses. :D

I used to think that I liked hot food, but I've been getting my butt kicked by them lately. I'm getting old!

Good news for my quest for a Big Mac. August 25th is buy one, get one for $.25

When I was your about your age, I'd get two and move the meat, cheese, sauce, lettuce, pickles and onions over to the other Big Mac. In other words, everything but the buns. That way I had what my friends and I called a Major Mac or Mega Mac. I'd either toss out the buns, or stick french fries and ketchup on it and eat it as a 'french fry Mac.' Disgusting, but true. It's actually pretty good. That's if you like Big Macs.

What can be better than the last piece of Italian flag coconut birthday cake in bed? Nothing. ;)

EDIT:

Except maybe a big plate of Nasi (chicken) for lunch!

For a few months, during the Thursday Big Mac deals($4.99 for two BigMac Meal), my local Mickey D's ran the promotion everyday. I don't like McDonalds, but I still do like the Big Macs, and I like that particular store.

I sometimes threw fries in burgers, too. Not just in the extra buns, but in the burger. Forgot all about that.

That looks good, buddy.👍 Have you ever tried throwing in sauteed daikon in something like that? Japanese sometimes does it, and I guess it only works if you don't mind daikon, but when sauteed with soy sauce or something like that, much of that gaminess is gone, and I do enjoy it once in awhile.

I had two of the most interesting foods I've ever eaten today.

Deep fried Oreos:

Deep fried Snickers bar:

Deep fried Oreos aren't bad, deep fried Snickers bars on the other hand are gross.
