Just had my standard bowl of breakfast cereal:
2x Weetabix
Cheereos
Crunchy Nut
and a splash of milk

Isn't that just a ham pizza?

It was, but get this;

Upon entry to the lovely Pizza Hut I grab a menu and wait for the lady to take my order. I want a Cheese Lovers (plain cheese pizza) for 59Yuan.

She says "We can't do that one for you, choose something else please."

"OK," I reply "so you don't have any pizzas?"

"Oh, yes, we have pizzas, just not this one."

"Can I have a Ham and Pineapple without the ham and pineapple, then?"

"Certainly sir, which size would you like?"

So I can't have a normal, plain pizza for 69Yuan, but I can have that exact same pizza for 59Yuan if I order it as another pizza without toppings? Sometimes Chinese logic baffles me.

I stuck with ham anyway. I like it.

Haha brilliant! You should have left her a 10Yuan tip.

edit: Is this how the Chinese car industry works. "I'd like the Chingbongbing in Starlight Blue please." "No, you can't have that, but you can get it in Indian Red for 1000Yuan* less and we'll spray it blue for you." "Deal."

*I have not idea how much a Yuan is.

10Yuan is £1 roughly. The largest denomination note here is 100Yuan (£10).

Honestly, I couldn't make this stuff up! Plus it's not polite to tip here. :sly:

Since I didn't have to buy anything for valentine's day.

Breakfast: Natural yoghurt with diced melon and pumpkin seeds.
Snack: 2 hard boiled eggs and 1/2 red pepper
Lunch: Puy and beluga lentils with fresh beetroot, red onion and feta cheese.

:D

I flipped out when I turned the packaging around on this frozen pad thai.....

it has 1810mg of sodium, 75% of your daily intake.🤬

Eat two.

Then sit back as your entire circulatory system decides to abandon ship and find someone else healthier.

Lol. I wish I came home with the Macallan instead of the Ardbeg that one time. My chest is way too hairy now.

Solid, how do you like the Macallan 12?

It's OK. Not the best scotch in the world, but very good. It's very smooth, but a bit too sweet and fruity. I like 'smokey' or 'petey' scotches a little better. I just haven't found one that is very smooth. I'm not a drinker, nor a big scotch drinker when I do drink.

Trade you the Ardbeg for it. :dopey:

About to eat some steamed veggies, beef with El Pato suace, and some cranberry juice... this is the one I love drinking

OK its not the healthiest but for me is the most tastiest.

Shem - being 1/8 Chinese, (maternal great-grandmother) all I can tell you without being too inscrutable is that our celestials physics, financial fung shui, and sea-cucumber smoothies are beyond scrutiny.

It's kind of an on the bus/off the bus thing.

Great story, though, and Axle's comment had me guffawing aloud and looking very embarressedly at the other very serious 'adults' around me. Damn you, Axle!

OT:
In a moment a Mexican fiesta: Beef Enchilada in Chili Sauce with Mexican-style Rice and refried Beans. Cocada pudding to finish off.

A cupcake my sister just made. The cake mix turned out so soft not even a fancy pillow can match it.

Is it smooth? I hate harsh hard stuff.

It's pretty smooth. Tastes like a bonfire and kicks like a mule at first though. It really has some interesting flavors but the peat smoke and phenol is so strong that you have to be a hardcore scotch guy to appreciate it. I'm looking forward to see how it ages because I think it will be around for a long long time. It's just too hot in Florida to enjoy it very often.

It's done aging, once it's in the bottle. It can only age while in the cask or barrel. Sounds like something I might like. The Macallan is very good stuff, just too fruity and sweet for my taste.

I know, I didn't mean age like that. I just wonder if the peat mellows out after a couple years in the bottle.
